I share a commute with a MINT Marauder. It looks pristine and has a nice exhaust setup.

I’ll be the first to admit that I have always loved the GTM. I would build one in a heartbeat.

Is this the first motorsports focused OEM variant of an EV? Model S Plaid is the only other “go fast” sub-model of an EV I can think of, but that was just a Model S with special software and a yoke.

You really just have to admire the type of person to treat a Dodge Stratus with such care.

I saw this on Saturday, Lightning Pro levelled on 35s:

The average car from 1989 would smoke the average car from 1969, outliers excluded.

You could make the same argument about any 20 year gap in vehicle generations.

In the late 00's, an LS1 Camaro/Trans Am/GTO was just about the fastest accessible street car besides the Terminator Cobra. In factory-ish trim, there was really nothing in the import/tuner scene that could compete with an LS1.

Whoops, thank you.

I’m not worried about it. These will get scrapped eventually. The Lithium recycling industry is just getting rolling, with the CCCP actually owning much of the IP for the process of breaking down Black Mass into it’s based materials for re-use.

I like Grand Wagoneers and FSJs on paper/screen, but every time I see them in person they just look dated in all the wrong ways.

Ever consider the fact that many corporate steering decisions are made without complete information in the goal of being first to market?

On the topic of EVs:

Yeah I get ~20mpg in ours. I’ve always said it’s our “swiss army knife” vehicle.

While I do think my ‘18 F-150 will easily pass 200k miles, you can very clearly tell that it is “overly electronic” with everything. I’ve had two BCM failures and multiple other electrical gremlins along the way.

Oh my god I’m so tired of hearing about Taylor Swift. My algorithms keep trying to shove these concerts down my throat like I care. I feel like there is some sort of ancient spiritual trance being put on people through Taylor Swift’s music that is driving them insane.

This is the correct answer. 60x40 pole barn shop with man cave loft is the dream.

This is literally my situation.

I have a huge soft spot for the pre/post war styling. Probably about ‘33-’55. I would love to have a ‘35 Ford Pickup with a simple motor swap to something halfway modern just for parts availability. Hell, even an EV swap would do okay for these types of old timers.

In certain trims, the 10th generation F-150 was one of the most handsome versions of the F-150 prior to the 13th generation. The 2V 5.4 was a bulletproof motor. It’s a shame they didn’t hold up well against rust.
