Topeka is pretty darn good too. Heartland Park is hugely active with very major sanctioned events, both on the strip and the road course. SCCA HQ is also right next door. There is a very active dirt track culture in the area, the kids quarter midget club is absolutely massive you can barely get in, and much more.
