California has 14 refineries, Kansas has zero. TF are you talking about.

Nice! I kind of did the opposite. I took a job in the neighboring big city but didn’t want to move the family, so I just listen to a lot of podcasts now. Plus, my company gives me a little extra for the trouble.

That makes my eyes water. We’re at $3.70 for 89oct here in NE Kansas and I thought that hurt.

God, I’m glad I bought my Insight. I’m literally saving $350/month on gas right now driving that over my truck.

The PT Cruiser was hugely successful and loved in it’s day, but the history has been lost to time as it’s styling has become extremely dated.

Need to get $250k of drug money to your plug? Just have him buy an F430 and buy it from him for $250k higher than it should be. Easy peasy.

I saw that Charger slide and immediately knew you’d be in here!

As a Kansan, sorry everyone. Highest I’ve seen is $3.89 a couple weeks ago. Currently sitting at $3.79. This isn’t even rural areas. This is what the price is in the Kansas City suburbs and Topeka.

I ran the numbers on the Lightning with my local fuel prices and electricity prices. For a truck that size, the fuel cost equates to the same $/mile as a 60 MPG ICE vehicle. How that affects your electric bill is relative to how much you drive.

People in the cities will gripe about pedestrian safety, parking, and just general size. For them, this is justified.

At no point did I make the claim that you are the right fit for this theoretical Excursion.

Agree completely. That’s why the logic that “if the theoretical Expedition gets 50 MPG, the Maverick would get 100MPG” is a complete fallacy.

As a fellow Insight owner, I get what you’re saying. My logic is based on the “good” MPG rating (say, 55) not changing. At that point, the incentive to continue further improvement is severely limited as it is increasingly difficult due to aerodynamics, and the fuel cost savings are diminishing as MPG raises.

Let’s take it one step further:

I don’t know if this is accurate, but there is a chance the conservative state government officials doesn’t want the explosive growth this plant will bring to happen inside the possibly more liberal jurisdiction of the Mason local government. Think of it as a form of gerrymandering.

The Lightning is the definite answer for me, but I have zero faith I will be able to get one for at least two years.

That’s actually not true. Getting hit and ejecting is actually more common than you think.

You might want to re-evaluate if Alexa is the one reading to your child.

We got around this by using the YouTube Kids app, carefully curating the content he’s allowed to watch, and use the timer function. He happily watches until the timer shuts it down, then puts it away without fuss.
