It’s more Avalanche than Silverado, that’s for sure.

Now the real question is what do you actually get with the base model. The 400 mile battery is probably a massive upcharge, just like in the F-150.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that this “clean sheet” design will be the reason the F-150 Lightning will outsell this handedly.

Everyone is talking about the 400 mile range, but nowhere does it say this is the standard battery size.

I have a 2018 XLT right now and I’m having a hard time seeing why I couldn’t go with the PRO. To add a couple bells and whistles by going to the XLT, you’re looking at a jump from $44k to $56K. That’s just not worth it in my book.

Just speculation, but the fact that this Taylorcraft doesn’t even have an N-number on the exterior tells me this was not an insured aircraft.

So I can make my 65 mile commute to work, 65 miles back, and still have 100 miles to spare?

It takes an impressive amount of narcissism to drag a movie that won a Best Picture Oscar.

Tony Stewart drove it at Bowman Gray and had some very interesting words about it. He spun it out multiple times just like this.

QUIT GIVING THEM IDEAS YOU IDIOTS

Honestly, the most surprising part about this story is that there was auto-pilot in a Cessna 172.

They only got 23mpg! Like, what the fuck. I can give something like a Prius a performance pass for the sake of efficiency.

I have a 2018 F-150 with the 2.7 Ecoboost. There is something about modern Ford ECUs or something that gives them atrocious throttle response. When you look online everyone just says it turbo lag, but that’s bullshit. Half a second between throttle input and power response is turbo lag. Half a second between throttle

How can you drag Herbie into this? At no point did they actually imply a 1600cc VW Beetle could actually compete in reality. In fact, one of the major plot lines of the first movie is how it makes no sense that Herbie is competitive.

I had an ecosport as a rental during an awful work trip to an awful plant.

It will be very interesting to see how the Cyber Truck stacks up against the Lightning. The Cyber Truck is trying to enter a space that is extremely competitive. They are trying to elbow their way into a market dominated by real-deal automakers with a century of experience. This is not a boutique sports car market,

I can tell you from first hand experience that rail is already running at full capacity for existing infrastructure and resources.

On top of that: Do you know how many people literally enlisted in the military primarily for the college funding? These people put their lives in danger, left their families, and turned their lives upside down for GI Bill benefits.

It’s been a boiling frog for years with curb weight. A Model 3 weighs roughly the same as a 1969 Cadillac de Ville.

Humans have a tendency to look at a landscape and think this is a permanent view, but those mountains and valleys are morphing at the same rate they always have. That river is cutting a new path, that mountain side will fall down, those rocks will slide, just like they always have.
