Remember Me! God, I loved that book!
Remember Me! God, I loved that book!
My all time favorite! Called Remember Me
Oh, I loooooved Christopher Pike. Does anybody remember the name of the one where there were a bunch of kids who....somehow found themselves in, like, some alternate-reality version of their town? And they all started dying one by one? And it was all because of...some....girl who had died, or something....fuck, I…
I think it was Remember Me. I loved Christopher Pike. His books had cursing and sex so they made me feel like a very mature 12 year old.
REMEMBER ME! It was a favorite.
I can't remember the name, but I know the one of which you speak. I believe the sister-girlfriend tried to inject him with an air bubble in his insulin syringe?
that was Remember Me - my fave CP book!
Ha! Otis is the nickname my husband and I have for our 6 year old. It started as a joke, when I was pregnant and we were throwing out baby names, he suggested Otis O'[Our last name] Double O. Buckshot. Boom. We then started referring to the baby as Otis, and never stopped. It's not on his birth certificate or school…
And everyone knows you can't trip and fall without landing on a Betsy or Nadine?
Then you are my 4 year old daughter, and what the hell are you doing at Coachella?
See, and as a mother, I feel so much sympathy for her, because I understand the fierce desire to protect your child, especially (I'd imagine) a fragile child.
One more season of The Killing?!? YESSSSSS!
And Kesha, I just adore you.
So following your logic, every child with autism who hits a teacher/caregiver/parent could be hit back. What a scary world that would be. If you could consider a child with special needs (who frequently lack the ability to understand or control their bodies) an assailant, my god, please stay away from them.
XOXO
Agreed, but claiming that the blame lies with the school board is totally out of line. Asking someone not to physically assault the children in her care is not asking a lot of a bus driver. It is literally the bare minimum to ask of anyone who has a job working with kids.
As frustrated as the bus driver may have felt, it is NOTHING compared to the life of the 8 year old with disabilities, who must deal with incredible frustrations, challenges and limitations every single day. The bus driver can go home at the end of the day, but that child can never escape their situation. They can,…
Bullshit. Working as a bus driver is not some inalienable right. If you fucking suck at your job, find a new one. If you literally cannot get through your work day without assaulting someone, especially a little kid, you need to find a new line of work.
Ugh, gross. Some of us do actually work in the Early Child Development field, and know that hitting little kids, especially ones with special needs, is complete and utter bullshit. You don't need to be a saint, just a decent person.
