Aren't most of these articles just plugs for local comedians who go for easy targets and/or beloved songs for the sake of it?

This is what the internet has made us become.

An airtight argument right there!

And our good ol' friends at the AV Club love to stoke that fire every time.

His films go one of two ways: either the intellectual thoughts smother his films or the apparent shallowness opens them up to much more. It's funny though, both get lots of complaints for their approaches.

D'Angelo also does what @Mirage mentions, which is often writing in ways that really deconstruct or evaluate the work and challenge you to think about it differently which is why he is so often labelled a contrarian or angrily dismissed in comments. Even his pans can have interesting insights rather than bland

He wants to fill the Lars von Trier hole in our hearts.

He remains consistently bloated, he just gets new tricks like barfing water. He doesn't get any more 'rotted' or disgusting as the movie goes on.

My takeaway, spoilers abound: I thought this movie was ultimately about imagination and creativity, and not in the special-snowflake, wildly endearing way that imagination is usually cherished in film, but in the self-destructive, alienating way it can be if you aren't some celebrated savant. I doubt Dano's character

Like what? 4:3?

Looks like a pro to me!!!

Yeah, it definitely feels like a lot of other games that have already done this stuff. However, if Nintendo can lift what works and bring their signature level of polish and artistry, then I'll be more than happy.

Mafia 1 also predated GTA's own implementation of macro-vehicle destruction. As in shooting the gas tank blows up the car, you can shoot people through windows, pop tires, smash lights etc. It was really cool at the time. And the dedication to realistic details like if you drop half the bullets out of your tommy gun

Counter-point. I actually really liked how Mafia II handled open world. A lot of open world games, maybe all of them, use the world to fill it to the brim with distractions. Mafia II is essentially a linear single-player game but they built out a world to make it seamless. You aren't just another random citizen of

You say haranguing, he says educating!

Did he get you there safely?!?!

From the gist of the article is seems like its common knowledge for people who like Blink to know he's a "space case", so maybe this manic behaviour has shown before? I don't follow him or Blink enough to know.

Life is a fickle bitch

Yeah, something to do with the chalky outlines… like how they are so inconsistent and as if there isn't enough vibrancy to the colours or something. Maybe something to do with rotoscoping but I totally know what you mean. Heavy Metal, Fritz the Cat… those movies make me feel all wrong. Even The Black Cauldron turns me
