1) IMAX is 1.43:1, which is nowhere near square. It's actually LESS square than traditional television (4:3)
2) Most people are not re-watching their videos on their smartphone.
3) Our eyes have left/right peripheral vision, not up-down.

No, but the Green Line itself does.
That's my next playthrough goal. I STILL can't bear beating the game without reviving Crono first.
On my most recent playthrough, I FINALLY killed Magus. Every single time I played before, I allied with Magus and ended up breezing through the rest of the game with him in my party - I wanted to actually try playing with people other than Frog, Lucca, and Crono (after getting him back). And overall, I'm happy I…
I loved the soundtrack and the general art direction of Chrono Cross, and thought the plot was good enough. But that battle system...I dunno, maybe I should give it another shot, but I found it to be pretty lame. And I really didn't see the need for 40-something characters that never really get fleshed out.
Downloaded. Stoked to listen to the full thing; from what I've heard of the preview, this is gonna be great.
I think the issue is most of those cities were able to build their rail networks as they built airport. LAX (and the surrounding area) had been developed for years before the rail system came close to reaching it, so there are a LOT of tall buildings in the way. Also, building any sort of underground infrastructure…
As it stands now, there is a bus that takes people from the green line to terminals, but I thought they were discussing a couple of proposals for a people mover from the Crenshaw line to LAX? I mean, I have no problem with that - it's basically what JFK and EWR have, and it works great. Plus, a gateway building…
Right, but he wasn't talking about the Concorde; he was talking about this one.
Mwahaha...
Yep. And speaking as someone who has also worked on both shows, I think we get MUCH better material when we're not telling them how to act. People are always asking me about BGC in particular - and really, you can't make that shit up.
I mean, it is arguable that the shows are "scripted" because bites and scenes are arranged, to make the story work, but TRW and BGC are a far cry from something like Duck Dynasty, where you can practically hear the producers whispering lines to the cast. Either way, I agree - I'm always compelled to do the same when…
You totally can tell when you're in Santa Ana/Anaheim! The freeways suddenly get nicer when you cross into OC. :-P
Even most of Los Angeles County is not in "the desert", you dumb fuck. Of note - NOBODY LIVES OR FARMS IN THE YELLOW PARTS.
The less we talk about Draper's terribly unrealistic (and I'm pretty sure, unconstitutional) plan, the better we are for it. Keep in mind he doesn't give a shit about the rest of California except for Silicon Valley; you can't expect him to understand the specifics of how things ACTUALLY work.
Doesn't matter how they voted in the early 80's; Texas was still a vastly different place than California. Furthermore, the Mexicans in Baja are completely different people from the Mexicans in Coahuila.
In my opinion, this guy did a really great job of completing a map of lazy stereotypes. As for realistic divisions…
I'm trying to figure out exactly what you think is demeaning about this? It's a little absurdist, random bit where Billy Eichner and Lindsay Lohan smash a car and promote the series finale of a great show. Neil Patrick Harris just did another bit with him earlier this week.
I think you may need to lighten up a little…
The Green Line shuttle hits up every terminal pretty frequently - you're looking for bus G near the other parking shuttles. The FlyAway busses are at each terminal as well, typically near the rental shuttles. I believe both spots are marked by signs above whatever island they're on.
It's not exactly a train (though you can take a shuttle to the green line if you really feel like going through Watts), but the Flyaway to Union Station is pretty quick and convenient. I take it all the time and it works great; plus, there are other busses to OC, Van Nuys, and Westwood. So, there definitely are…
This is a well done infographic, but can we please, PLEASE stop talking about Tim Draper's idiotic and highly unrealistic plan to split up the state so that the Tech Bros get their own utopia?
