OK, see you in two years.
OK, see you in two years.
Yeah, the consensus no1 QB in the draft has no shot at making it. That makes sense.
In fairness to the Bears, at least they have a chance at a franchise QB.
It is bonkers but we get by using 0.01% the tax we don’t spend building new sports stadiums for billionaires.
Sports clubs in the U.K. are nearly always funded by the clubs themselves. At lower levels, clubs may get lottery funding (a percentage of money generate don’t by the national lottery is earmarked for sports, arts etc.). At higher levels, clubs make the money back through naming rights and other sponsorships deals.…
Apart from the fact that the really dangerous tackles in football are illegal in rugby.
As a Brit living in NZ where rugby is king, it seems obvious to me that the tuckle in rugby is significantly safer than in football. You have to wrap the guy up, you can’t tackle in the air (a tip tackle is a red card) and if you do make contact in the air it is YOUR responsibility to make sure he lands safely.
As a Brit who voted remain, I endorse this message.
I’m not sure what sort of rugby you’re “playing” but it sounds a bit like basketball.
Six Nations “final”? Yeah, that isn’t a thing.
Please no, and as I say this as a soccer fan. Part of the charm of the NFL is the salary cap and the fact that, theoretically, all teams have the same amount of money to spend. So I say keep the system for the last ten years of the sport before it goes the way of boxing.
Replace “football purgatory” with “another room full of bear traps and Skip Bayless sitting in a red velvet coat waiting to give you an infinite number of hot takes” and I think you've nailed it.
I mean what was he thinking? Every instinct in your body would be going “dive on the ball”. Everything else I like about him: he’s engaging, fun and a comedy superhero for kids. But to say he shit the bed both during and after the game would be an undertstatement. He basically sat down in a 7 foot perspex cylinder of…
I think the time has come for a Why The NFL Sucks section.
It's pretty great timing! Almost to the hour that the Packers WYTS was due to be posted!
As a Bears fan, the second best football-related thing to happen to me this year was the Packers WYTS. The best is tomorrow’s Patriots one. My season is essentially peaking tomorrow and, honestly, I’m totally fine with that.
I’m not sure you get WYTS.
Made sense to me and I’m not even American.
It does say a lot yes. I do think change is possible. Rugby has changed a lot in the last few years. With fitness and conditioning improving out of sight, a few years back we basically had a game with fifteen giant gym bunnies smashing in to each other, especially in England. The game has moved away from that partly…
Agree with all that, particularly the drinking! Rugby players (amateur) are world class drinkers.
