I’ve seen three Star Trek movies that prove otherwise, to me. Don’t get me wrong I think he has talent and I don’t dislike him. I just thinks Kelvinverae Kirk didn’t have a lot to work with

Hamill is different in each Star Wars movie to his credit. He starts as dopey farm boy then frustrated student who is in over his head then weathered and wisened Jedi. It’s actually the best arc of the whole trilogy.

He doesn’t have Gadot’s presence (or smile, until he learned to embrace his inner Joker), I agree.

I think Reeve was a MUCH better actor. He just got typecast as Superman. His Clark Kent is hilarious (even if he’s often doing Cary Grant in “Bringing Up Baby”.) He went to Juilliard (and famously was roommates with Robin Williams), was on Broadway before getting his movie roles...

You’re wrong as hell. Christopher Reeve had the range.

Kinja is the absolute worst comments system ever conceived. I hate using it with a fiery passion. That immediacy you get replying with Disqus is totally lost as comments sit in the limbo of moderation greyed-out ‘pending’ for hours, or never exit it at all. It’s awkward, the nesting is an eyesore, and that fantastic

Some of WU was uncomfortable for me.

Dude, I miss your passion. I’m over on TI and some Disqus sites, but I’m not feeling the community there - not yet. The very structure of Kinja as a platform says, “We know you can only hold one, maybe two, ideas at a time. Just react to this one thing, OK?”

hey remember when there was always a long thread that started with Rocky going #CancellJost and Dennis Perkins would say “Rocky.” and Rocky would say “Perkins” and other folk would get in on it and maybe Whovian would pop in and disparage hashtags?

You missed one of the most shocking statements.

She seems a bit unstable tbh. Seems like a strange way to trash the director who made her famous, especially since the grievance (if you can even call it that) is debatable at best. Directors edit music, actor’s performances....everything. That’s just the way it is. Some actors put in months on a movie and end up

Is she upset because they cut what was probably a full 6-minute performance into a 2-minute performance? What there was, I thought, was quite beautiful.

I partially disagree - whilst horror has always been a large part of Twin Peaks it was many, many other things as well, and celebrated love and joy and taking pleasure in the simplest things. Redemption was also a big element, so I was kind of hoping for a happier ending. Or at least not one quite as bleak as we got.

“There should never be another episode of Twin Peaks.”

The good commenter is in the lodge, and he can’t leave. Post it in your disqus.

Good, original angle for a Twin Peaks article. Too bad no one will see my comment and that I’m left feeling ostracized from the discussion due to the suck barrier that is Kinja, because I love this show.

I think the Monica Belluci dream has this Twin Peaks fitting in with Lynch’s work since Lost Highway/ LH has Bill Pullman going into a complete fugue state and different timeline to avoid the fact that he killed his wife. At the end he’s not transforming again; he’s being electrocuted (please, please let there be

I hadn’t heard of many of the Roadhouse bands, so getting introduced to some amazing new music courtesy of Lynch has been another wonderful surprise with the new season.

James was never cool. He’s the world’s whiniest biker. All he does is mope. Give me hellcat Bobby all day everyday. Plus, The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer made him way more sympathetic.
