That's a shame because the B-side for Whip It is one of Devo's best ever tunes: Turnaround. (Nirvana covered it…)

And the first Duran Duran records came out on Harvest…

You needed to subscribe to The Face.

Known in the US as "Two Wheels Good"

I'm a HUGE fan of the American version of After The Fire's debut album—the song "Sometimes" is probably one of the most perfect power pop songs ever (right up there with "Christabelle" by Sorrows.)

Bizarre cover? It was a UK hit. (Of course, so was "Money" by the Flying Lizards…but that, too, is brilliant.)

To rephrase a line from "High Fidelity"…Oooh, are you in a coma?

At the time, I was a huge fan of "24" and "If and When It Falls Apart"…still a couple of my favorite tunes of the era.

No.

I've always thought of "London Calling" as a dis track. I worry though that my timing isn't right.

Almost every Chris Mars song is a 'Mats diss.

It is NOT a terrible song. It is catchy, clever, musically varied, full of strong musicianship and self-aware.

Adam Ant would often use a "Them vs Us" mentality in his lyrics to encourage a tribal response from his fans…but usually it was generalized and not specific.

WOT?!?! That's…not the words (or the Adam dis in the song.)

"…break the mould."

How do you tell the difference between "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Werewolves of London"?

She's topless in the final scene of Sex & Death 101 (and why do I know this without having to look it up?)

Good example of a joke that won't be told by a new cast.

I agree that Joel/CT is less mean spirited than Mike/RiffTrax…

A few years ago here in Seattle, I got to see a stand-up comedy show that featured Trace reading from his book and Frank telling some stories and it headliner Dana Gould crushing.
