On industry pool days (no public on the track) the car being passed always indicates which side they want you to pass on (and you can’t pass until they do).

You can move to Michigan,

I’m going to assume that we are saying the same thing in a different way and that you are not just an ass.

Quite the opposite. In a high power / high torque car I want the power spread out linearly across the entire pedal travel to give good control throughout the range. Having full power at part pedal does not help with control.

If the power is already available stock at full pedal you have not made more power by moving that power to a lower pedal position. If you want full power put the pedal to the floor on the stock cal and save the $500 on a tune.

Just be sure to tell the dealer you had the Unleashed tune when you take it in for cracked pistons and failed turbos. Maybe Ford does know the limits of the hardware...

Or for exceeding the torque capability of the gearbox in 1st and 2nd gear...

At full pedal OEMs tune for performance and reliability (both nat aspirated and turbo) on modern engines, emissions are not regulated at full pedal. Anything you do with a tune above this on a nat asp engine will have negligible gains and compromise reliability, and no giving access to the full pedal power at part

The hack tuners that broke 2011 5.0L Mustang pistons and then told the owners to take them in for warranty know a lot about this...

I agree - most modern manuals have progressed significantly with features such as launch assist. Try any new Ford; release the clutch at a reasonable rate with NO throttle input and they launch quite nicely.

They also claimed for MANY years that the public did not need a V6 in the Accord, much like your other examples.

At 4 yrs old, the only one with hands small enough to get to the header bolts.

+1 on FSAE for the engineers. Keep up a 3.0 GPA, love cars and meet me at MIS in May - I’ll escort you to your new cubicle!

The mid level cloth Recaros are awesome. The top level leather ones appear to be tight fitting but feel less supportive despite the bigger bolsters that probably bother a lot of people.

Can we get another discussion going on why Ford is stupid for not bring the Ranger to the US?

Luckily wideopenwest cable canceled BBC America starting Jan 1 because it had become too expensive. This saves me a lot of time I would have wasted watching one of the few great shows on TV. Hopefully the can find another shopping channel to takes its place while also raising my cable bill.

I also watched for the first time and struggled to stay engaged. Pit stop half way through to change to a freshly charged car - really? I can watch almost anything race but this left me wondering why.

I have ridden with very good drivers (well not this good, but still relevant) around tracks and it is an absolute blast. One the opposite end I do not recommend riding with them on public roads, ever. They tend to have one mode.

No contest - I was in Brazil and rented a Fiat Paleo last year. Going in my hopes were low, 1.0L nat aspirated, manual trans econobox. The Fiat would have driven all over my low expectations but it did not have enough power to do so.

The Ginetta Junior races were pretty rough - although it was careless rough versus the aggressiveness of the BTCC races. I watched two accidents occur in front of the yellow flag stand in Becketts.
