I was there today - pretty scary. The accident caused a red flag that ended race 2 of 3 and then we saw the medical chopper take off. Glad to hear he is OK!

Another vote for the Flex. We do a yearly Michigan to Arizona trip with our 3 kids each summer. We easily cover 800 miles a day. Accelerates hard and corners faster than 3 kids, wife and all our stuff care to experience.
From my Michigan CDL test:
Everyone interested in automotive engineering should come out and see Formula SAE. 120 colleges building and racing some incredible open wheeled race cars, plus a LOT of automotive recruiting. We'll be at Mich Intl Speedway May 15-17. If you have any questions drop me a message.
I just returned from 2 weeks in Melbourne. Where else you can buy a 450 hp supercharged Falcon and every damn driver on the road is driving exactly 102 km/hr? Also, speedos in Aus are calibrated to always read high, so that if you drive 102 on the speedo in the 100 zone you are likely doing about 99. I used my GPS to…
Peter from Ford / The Tools here - are you back into Chump on the west coast? Turbos are fine so long as you can change them quickly (VIR Aug 2013) :).
Try spending 1.5 hours in a race car on a warm day and then come back to this discussion. I am in reasonable shape and after a 1.5 hour stint in ChumpCar my ass had been kicked like never before - needless to say even Nascar is a bit more intense than ChumpCar.

Jim Farley and his USRRC Cobra?
For those looking to tow you need to try the Ecoboost in any of these CUVs. I had an Ecoboost MKT and it towed my enclosed snowmobile trailer better than my previous Expedition. Set the cruise at 75 mph and let the turbos do their job.
I saw a tour on TV of Mario Andretti's house with an Indy V-8 for a coffee table in his trophy room. I'll need to think a bit smaller scale though, the new Mustang Boss V-8 looks great.
I'm all for close up access to racing but do the spectators have any idea what is going on with the steering wheel when he passes by?
