I’m pretty sure there have been plenty of not-so-hush rumors and allegations about Whedon being toxic over the years, w/r/t your “something we haven’t really heard about him from other projects” comments. Maybe it just hasn’t come to light until one straw finally broke the back, as with most toxic personalities.

It definitely appears so. I am not sure you were the first to admit it, though.

S2 still holds up for me. I’ll agree it has its hokey moments, but it does a pretty amazing job of keeping a bunch of plates spinning all at once without dropping them, all the performers are totally committed, and the train fight scene is still one of my favorite comic-book movie battles. X2 is . . . okay.

The issue is not the Trump in the White House. The issue is the 62,984,828 other trumps who find him awesome. They don’t find him awesome out of ignorance for whatever Woodward (or others) would reveal. They don’t find him awesome “despite” what is reproached to him.
