Should have brought back the team that made this masterpiece:
I’m going with Marnie on this one, solid choices in every round. But I want it known that I think this whole thing is a travesty for not including my personal favorite, the Bomb Pop.
I got to put a couple hours into it over the weekend. They definitely tried to stay as true as possible to the originals. The updated graphics and QOL improvements such as better sidebar are good, but it still has the...quirks of the originals. The AI and pathing is still pretty terrible. If you liked the original…
Command & Conquer Remastered. Going to let the waves of nostalgia wash over me.
Eh. I went from a 5 mile a day commute to 80 miles a day in heavy traffic. After driving our company cars with adaptive cruise control and autos, the quality of life improvement is worth it to me. Every car I’ve owned up until now has been a stick but I’m not a do or die purist.
Turbo and AWD? Sign me up. I’ve been looking to replace my Mazdaspeed3 and the only reason I haven’t been looking at new Mazdas is the lack of power. I want something that will match or exceed what my MS3 offers. Audis have been tempting but I am worried about the lack of reliability. My Mazda has been rock solid…
3rd gear: I saw a brand new Mitsubishi on temp tags yesterday, and it prompted me to think: where do you even get a Mitsubishi? Gun to my head I couldn’t tell you where or when I last saw a Mitsubishi dealer. I figured they just sold them factory new to sketchy buy-here-pay-here lots.
The competition comes down to Volvo and Saab. Most comfortable seat I ever sat in, though I didn’t get to drive it, was a Saab convertible at an auto show. Sublime.
As a recovering Saab owner, part of me wants to enable the addiction and tell him to buy another 9-5 wagon. I still miss my 9-3 manual hatchback. After that I was going to suggest a Mazdaspeed3 (my current car), but with all the gear he has to haul, maybe a Mazda6 wagon would be a good fit. If you look hard enough,…
Neutral: I’m in the position where I want a new (lightly used) car, and could comfortably afford one, but I don’t need one. My current car is a paid-off 2013 Mazdaspeed3 in great condition with 80k miles and is rock solid reliable. I started a new job last year and my commute went from 10 mi round trip to 80 mi;…
Sounds like a merger of true equals. Calling the ghost of Mergio!!
GMG editors don’t publish an article if you don’t unnecessarily shoehorn in a hot-button political topic, whether or not it has anything to do with the story at hand.
I got to sit in one of these at a car show when I was a kid, and I distinctly remember thinking how close my butt was to the ground. It was like sitting in a go-kart.
I would bet that wouldn’t fly. It seems to me that the appearance of the Humvee is incidental to the purpose of the game, whereas selling a racing game called “Parsh Simulator” featuring the Parsh 811 on the front would be construed as intentionally trying to profit off of the similarity without licensing Porsche’s IP.
I guess I should have clarified: It eats front tires. You have to be diligent about rotation. The wear on my tires has always been even and consistent, but I was running Michelin Pilot Super Sports and like you said, being nose heavy and high powered is not a combo for long tread life.
I have a 2013 MS3 with 80k miles, and I have to say it’s been rock solid reliable. Besides having to replace tires due to bad roads, rough suspension, and low-profile tires, I’ve not had to do a single non-routine maintenance. My car is stock except for an intake, and I drive it...spiritedly. Not beating on it, but…
Fancy Kristin you forgot to switch accounts.
As someone who grew up in Kansas and is sad to see how the state has been a constant embarrassment my entire life, I hope they do the right thing here.
2nd gen. An upgraded rear motor mount helps to quell some of the wheel hop and torque steer, but at the cost of increased vibration in the cabin. It still has torque steer but it’s manageable.
