GM should happily pay this fee so they can quietly erase the evidence.

COTD- take your star

Nope. Only car mags and auto blogs who would be missing half their content if they couldn’t post a “See how fast the new Wartburg Turbo went round the Nurembergrallycross” headline every few days.

I had never heard of an AC ME3000. What a cool car- thanks! Also CP on the BMW. Guessing 10 cylinders is at least 25% more of a pain than 8, and this car really doesn’t turn heads.

There is a saying in Minnesota (where I am stuck. In the snow. In April) The second happiest day in a man’s life is the day he buys a boat. The happiest day is when he sells the boat. But I still voted NP, cuz I love these.

Not the coolest, but certainly the most inexplicable . Paris, 10th Ar. Fall 2017

“How can I make this car look even more German?- I will pose it in front of ze Freidrich painting!”

I confess I read this assuming Mr T had been hitting the antifreeze again, but in fact, these ARE important questions. The whole franchise trades on our collective stereotypes about cars (or, I guess, the people that are in them?). Everybody hates the school bus; all you need to know.

Given the well understood “Jalopnik boost”, I should think McLaren would be begging for a sticker.

The engine bay photo features snow, and Subbies are great in snow! If they have awd. And winter tires. Is the can of LaCroix included? Also, how many NPOCP cars with the legendary LS swap have ever been worth $17K. CP

Finally the glory we all knew NPOCP would one day become. A rolling metaphor for these troubled times, and perhaps the answer to our politician’s refrain: “why doesn’t America make things anymore?”

No, it’s not black, it’s “Diamondschwarz”. CP

Miata? Am I doing Jalopnik right?

Actually looks more Star-Trekky than some of the actual props: NP

I love everything about this but the price. CP

I am so happy to learn of another revenue stream for VW.

Torch- Slightly off-topic, but what is the source of the awesome saucer/car image at the top of this story? It’s great! I love that it’s a flying saucer (!) but everything else is a 1967 American car- right down to the radio antenna and grocery bag. The future was amazing.

Brilliant Tavarish/ What Dreams May Come analogy! Love and pain! German car ownership defined. Also CP on the red truck thing- not that it’s bad, just impossible to love as much as the guy who made it.

You’re looking in the wrong place?

In Minnesota, where I reside, it is legal to pass on the right. Which means the owl plate (or whatever damn animal it is now) crowd needs to use BOTH lanes to exact owl vigilante vengeance. And they do.. On the plus side, most Hwys here are 70MPH now.
