I got the “HORIPAD” off Amazon. $20, wired, no rumble, no gyro, no amiibo functionality. But it feels decent, and I’m happy to give my pro controller a rest.

I bought a controller with turbo buttons just to spam the A button as needed (e.g., mass crafting, hitting rocks, wishing on shooting stars). I think one of Nintendo’s strategies here will be to slowly roll out quality-of-life features via update patches and DLC. And currently, some QOL features must be earned and…
Absolutely astounding that you’re able to read my mind and somehow know my full opinion from a neutral two-word comment. Thank you so much for letting me know where I stand.
Truly fascinating that you were able to infer my opinion on this topic from a silly and neutral two-word comment.
I’m no fan of exclusivity. I struggle to find the appeal of the PS5 when nearly all the worthwhile exclusives have been announced for PC at this point. (Then again, I don’t mind waiting a few years to play a good game.)
I’d argue that PC is becoming a more and more relevant “platform” in this conversation. So many PS4 exclusives being announced for PC has effectively killed my motivation to buy a PS5.
Indeed! Nintendo is the obvious exception here.
It’s certainly good for consumers. I’d argue that it may hurt Sony more than people realize in the next gen because PlayStation has historically been synonymous with game exclusivity. Three years is a long time, but with so many options these days, more of us than ever will be willing to wait now that this is the…
This will be the case for many people for sure. But for me (and I’m guessing many others like me), the appeal of the PS4 is exclusives, hands down. There are simply too many PS4 exclusives that are on PC or coming to PC for me to muster the interest to buy a PS5. Death Stranding? Announced for PC a week before its PS4…
I’m in a similar situation, but I’m a generation behind you. I own a PS4 Pro, but at this time it’s just collecting dust. I had planned to buy a PS5, but now that everything I wanted to play on the PS4 is coming to PC, I no longer have a reason to buy a PS5. As of now, it’s looking like Sony has lost a console sale on…
I’m 90% in agreement with you here. The exception would be PC owners who are truly in no rush to play timed exclusives. For those folks, exclusives just mostly don’t exist anymore (excluding Nintendo-published games, of course).
RIP exclusives
It shouldn’t be so much about telling everyone about the games they already know about and more about the titles that didn’t get the recognition they deserved during the year.
