Nah, just bored and toying with people who think mediocre and good are the same thing.

Sorry, I sank down to your level, where everything is made up and the facts don’t matter. Keep being a gatekeeping douchebag, I guess.

There are a lot of pals that are barely legally distinct from Pokemon, like Egyptian Lucario, Winged Zoroark, and Fluffy Cobalion. Many keep the same color palate, body shape, and pose.

Now playing

“pointing out the obvious fact that “fan” implies more than a just mild interest is definitely gatekeeping”

Says the guy calling a B- a “hit”

You must beliving in a cave

No, 84 is not a high score. It’s basically breaking even for the investment. Plus, if you actually read the reviews, they sound more like mid 70s when they talk about the actual game. The nostalgia gets effluent praise, but not the actual gameplay. It’s clear from reading reviews that the scores are getting a boost

So, someone who wants to eradicate an entire group of people she hates ISN’T a wannabe nazi? Either you’re a child with no real world experience, or you want the same thing.

84 is not “very high”, especially for a game with a budget of $150 million. Baldur’s Gate 3's 96 is very high. To put it in golf terms, 84 is par.

It’s the raging hardon the guy has for an IP owned by a wannabe nazi that makes him a fascist, not his poor logic.

I agree with the dictionary definition. The other guy is the one making up his own rules as he goes.

Nintendo’s last earnings call said TotK sold 19.5 million by the end of September. Those are the most recent numbers we have. The wizard game hit 22 million by the end of the year. It’s ludicrous to think TotK didn’t sell 10% more during the holiday season.

Be honest, that’s a mediocre score for a AAA budget game.

Correct. The statement is true regardless.

What can I say, it’s fun to troll fascists.

You’re saying someone can’t be a “real fan” unless they meet your arbitrary criteria. That’s the definition of gatekeeping.

If you want to be a gatekeeping douchebag, go for it.

“Having a mild interest in something doesn’t make you fan.”

Yes, to both, for a variety of reasons. It would be asinine to believe otherwise.

If humans were rational actors like you’re claiming, advertising wouldn’t be a thing. Neither would sales. You’re in denial of basic human nature.
