What a weird timeline. We have the Final Fantasy series moving towards being a button-mashy brawler, and the Like a Dragon (Yakuza) series moving towards turn-based RPG.

If you’re looking for an old school RPG, check out Yakuza Like a Dragon. You wouldn’t expect it from the box art, but it’s a turn-based RPG complete with a job system, elemental status effects, and summons. It’s even better if you’re familiar with Dragon Quest, because the main character is a huge fan of that series…

Is it really a tragedy when someone says “hold my beer” and the expected result happens? This is like the rich assholes who die pointlessly on Everest. At least the guys on the sub were liquefied instantly, instead of hallucinating while slowly freezing to death.

There is no coping here. This isn’t a tragedy that affects real people. It’s a rich idiot who said “hold my beer” and suffered the consequences, and we’re all pointing and laughing.

Oh you sweet summer child, that’s not how capitalism works. Unless you’re unionized or some kind of rock star like John Carmack, your employer has all of the power when negotiating salary.

Even if that life causes harm to millions of others?

Being that wealthy is a crime all on its own.

Mostly the filter feeders.

The kid was the son of a hundred-millionaire. It’s unlikely he was ever going to be a decent person. The other passengers certainly weren’t.

And he got wealthy by paying them less than their worth. Nobody gets wealthy off their own work, they do it by taking the work of others for themselves.

He made his money by having other people make those things.

Nah, let’s spend the money that would be spent to salvage their corpses on real people instead of the wealthy.

Billionaires are objectively harmful to civilization. We will be better off without all of them. This is a start.

Change it to a real sword and you have a deal.
