A big reason I love my IUD is that I hardly have a period, which would not be the case if I had gotten sterilized. So, it worked out in the end. But who knows what my healthcare situation will look like 4 years from now when I have to re-up? It would be nice if it was permanent.

I’m not really sure, honestly. She’s great in other ways, and was totally willing to do Essure on me when I was 30, which is awesome of her, but for some reason she didn’t want to/doesn’t do tubal ligation.

Sooo happy I didn’t get this procedure done. I talked to my gyno about getting my tubes tied a few years ago. I wanted to get my actual tubes tied, but she only does Essure. I decided to get an IUD instead and I’m very happy with it. I really feel for all the women who are affected by this. Sounds like hell.
