The DNC got rid of most caucuses; there are only a few left; most are now primaries.  Which is a good thing as more people participate in primaries.  It would be interesting if they tried ranked voting in primaries.  What would happen then?

Ranked voting as I know it is applied in the general election; and it’s after each party, including third parties have chosen their nominee. Then you can vote for any candidate from any party, it doesn’t have to be a major party because you can’t “spoil” your vote given that you can rank the major party candidate as…

I mean, of course; we have to fight tooth and nail to see if we win; I just won’t be surprised is they pull some shenanigans.

Ranked voted is good.  But I’m not sure it effects the primaries.  I suppose Bernie could then run in the social democratic party.  

Does anyone actually believe that the United States Supreme Court, which is controlled by male right wing religious zealots, is going to allow the ERA to stand? They will be all over any technicality they can find to deny passage like ants on a two day old cupcake.

Too late; the rabid toxic subset of Bernie supporters have been unleashed.

When cornered with something that might not look good on it’s face for him, I don’t like this instinct that Sanders has to lie or mislead (and then mostly come clean latter). He did the same thing when he denied he had a heart attack for days and then came clean; and recently when he claimed it was an unpaid rogue…

Unfortunately that’s up to us, the voters.  Warren and Sanders barely notice Steyer at all.

I’ll venture a guess. She doesn’t appreciate that Sanders basically called her a liar on national television. And let his rabid zealous supporters unleash their fury upon her and her supporters for simply speaking the truth.

I believe that Sanders believes that a woman can’t win against Trump. And he said so privately to Warren. That does not make him sexist; it just means he believes in this environment that a woman is not electable.

And had Bernie explained himself; it would have not damaged his campaign at all.  Most of us believe, including Warren supporters, that a woman running against Trump faces extra challenges than a man.  Instead he called her a liar.  And his rabid supporters did his dirty work for him and went full on misogynist rant.

It’s hard to know because clearly he’s being dishonest about it. If he had come clean and simply said that he expressed concerns in our current political climate that a woman would have a tougher time beating Trump; no one would gain say him, because it’s probably true. Yeah, the men’s rights (more like misogynist’s rights) has permeated and recruited young men en masse.  It makes me nervous for our future frankly.  Some day some one will do a comprehensive study on just how much influence social media has on the proliferation and rise of alt right, white supremacist, and male…

“But I’m not going to vote for a woman just because she’s a woman” is a strawman (straw woman) argument. Stop insulting my intelligence. Your white male privilege is showing.

Have you ever noticed that those who decry what they call “identity politics” always seem to default towards voting for and supporting white men.  I’m sure that’s just a coincidence, amirite?

Warren nailed it.

I wish, and hope that I can believe that.  But right now, I just don’t.
