I don’t believe in making the candidate responsible for their children’s actions unless they are somehow also corrupt or involved. Biden is not the corrupt one here.  This is as stupid a scandal as the pretend one about the Clinton Foundation resulting in “pay for play” which was disproven.  That being said, it’s one

All very good points.

Yes. I would not have come up with it myself. I heard it. More than once.

It’s what resonates with voters.  Voters don’t respond to the same tactics with all candidates, because there has to be a kernel of truth in the attack.  No one is going to believe that Bernie or Warren are corrupt; and they don’t care about the native american thing or Bernie’s stupid rape fiction from forever ago.

Perhaps because it’s about vision rather than experience.  And that so many people, myself included, feel that this country is so off track that nothing short of systemic sweeping change will get us back on track.

There are a lot of privileged white progressives who are blind to their privilege.  These are the ones constantly decrying “identity politics” or “empty tribalism” as if life experience and the perspectives of black and brown people and women are unimportant and bring nothing of importance to the table.  The lengths

Pushing his head forward, smelling some unsuspecting woman’s hair, and pushing back, and back, and forth, and back and forth and so on and so forth.

While there, Biden hosted a town hall that was unceremoniously interrupted by a heckler, who challenged the presidential candidate on his son’s dealings in Ukraine.

In other words, the person most “qualified” to be president is Mitt Romney or...................and it hurts to even utter his name, Rick Scott? ;-)

The righteousness of our actions are never rendered moot. It’s always important to stand up for our principles; and against corruption and evil (and I believe Trump is evil).

The whole thing just makes me sad; because, in a way, Trump wins even if he loses, because white supremacy is given power. When, in fact, if we all just show up, including young voters; and voted consistently; we win; because there are more of us than there are of them.

Yep.  Trump would look at him and think “let’s give this man a life time appointment”!

I’m trying to figure out why she is still in the race.  As well as Gabbard.

After all this is said and done; if the democrats are disciplined in their message, they should be able to successfully paint the entire GOP as corrupt.  It should resonate with voters who are not part of the Trump cult.  That to me is the lasting impact of these proceedings.

I wanted to add, that as much as I hate Trump with the power of a thousand white hot suns, this is a very bad idea:

You need 2/3 of the senate to vote for conviction and removal, not just a simple majority.

I commented on what I think McConnell will do on another thread:

I commented on another thread what I suspect McConnell will do:

This has been my secret wish since January 20, 2017.

I happen to be a person who believes that standing on principle and upholding the rule of law is never pointless.  Sure, the corrupt GOP will not convict him in the senate.  But you don’t fail to stand up for what is right because of corruption.  Let the corrupt expose themselves.  Sooner or later the label will stick.
