This is my home town and where I’m living between Uni. It’s totally right, hen parties and stag dos are ruining the city centre. I don’t want to walk down the street at 1pm and be sexually harrassed and feel unsafe by a group of gross men who’s mission it is to just be total pricks to every human they come into

Really the closest you get to an abortion with a rape kit is with Plan B. Maybe. If it’s included. And that’s still not an abortion.

“While you’re doing my rape-kit, could you just do a quick D&C while you’re down there? I don’t know yet whether or not my rapist impregnated me, but this is my last chance to get an abortion for it, because I live in South Carolina....”

Hey, I just remembered : There was an article on jezebel a few weeks back on sexual assault, and a few of the posters said that police officers/police detectives REFUSED to take their reports. One woman said the detective assigned to her case informed her she was lying to cover up cheating on her BF!

Does anyone know why they say rape AND incest? Like, isn’t non-consensual incest rape? Is there an exception to allow abortion after 20 weeks in the case of consensual incest? I believe in some cases you can go to jail if you conceive a child from incest. I’m not googling that, and sorry to sound creepy, I do not have

I just - this dude has no idea what it’s like to be a human woman, much less a rape victim (not that I have any idea what it’s like to be the latter, thankfully, but at least I know enough not to pretend I know a god damned thing about it). If a woman is raped (or even pregnant with a wanted pregnancy in general),

Does he think later-term abortions are fun? I can’t figure out why he’d think a woman who didn’t want a pregnancy would intentionally wait as late in the pregnancy as possible before aborting.

It’s gotten to the point that, whenever I see any GOPeon making such points about abortion and rape victims, I wonder what it is in their background that they’re covering up.

“He does not seem to understand the strategy that will save babies’ lives. We do not agree with these exceptions, but this isn’t the end game. Sometimes, you have to concede a battle to win a war.”

And abortion laws are totally not about punishing women so how can we make it better punish women?

...but this isn’t the end game. Sometimes, you have to concede a battle to win a war.”

All right, as an ardent “pro-abortion” rights person, I will say that at least Bright is consistent. If, and I say IF, you believe a fetus is a baby is a person with full legal rights, then abortion is indeed murder. All these other restrictions with exceptions are just slut-shaming. It’s like “well, ‘those women’

That is all.

You wouldn’t be denied. There’s no police report.

And THEN you have rapists posing as trans women so they can get guns and rape us in women's bathrooms.

Thank you for posting this. I had a very similar experience as you back in the 80's and it was considered the norm.

YES you are so right! The professor's questions about her sex life were nauseating because it was so clear that he was trying to lead the survivor to take the blame for her own rape. To certain people, purity is some genie that gets out of a bottle and once it's out, you're fair game for anyone who wants to have sex

What I don't understand is why isn't prudence and cautiousness with regards to getting consent more of an idea amongst these frat guys? Don't any of them cower in fear that some feminazi is gonna cry rape and therefore take great pains to ensure he's like, actually getting enthusiastic consent from any ladies? It

This has reduced me to tears. Not because I had the same experience — because I didn't. I drank like an alcoholic fish during my college years — in parties at my college, and in bars (where I lied about my age), and in frats, and in guys' rooms at other colleges, and basically anyplace I could get ahold of booze.
