I really loved the Hatesong for "Imagine", because it was just really nice to realize I'm not the only person who thinks it's garbage. That was comforting.

Anyone who wants to shit-talk Toni Braxton can FIGHT ME, man. She is fucking MAGICAL.

I'm pretty sure my dad did play this song a lot after the divorce. It was this, and a lot of Savage Garden. Of course, my dad's post-divorce apartment had no real furniture, either: just bean bag chairs, his old Army cot, and a mattress on the floor for when we spent weekends with him.

I also enjoy this song. It's the sort of thing that I think would come on in my dentist's office while I'm waiting for a cleaning and flipping through a six-month-old issue of Good Housekeeping. It's not great, but it's fine, and there are worse ways to waste twenty minutes.

It's been kind of distressing lately to realize just how much I've turned into my father: I yell at the radio when they say something I disagree with, no one is allowed to eat in my car, and I would totally sing along with this without knowing the words.

"You can always rely on a dishonest person to be dishonest—honestly. It's the honest ones you have to watch out for, because you can never know if they're going to do something stupid." Captain Jack Sparrow

Considering that there was a black British noblewoman in the 18th century, it seems at least somewhat plausible for there to have been one in France, which was traditionally a little less freaked out by interracial relationships (not saying much, but still).

That's a bit like joining the Nazis because you're disillusioned with the Communist party rather than being super anti-Semitic: those reasons don't make it any less shitty.

I would have paid money to hear Jax say "Where the white women at?"

Considering how attractive Caity Lotz and Ciara Renee are, this feels like a misstep.

If destiny were trying to keep me from hooking up with Brandon Routh, I'd be pretty pissed.

Sarah talked to Mary in episode 2 about the option to either take her vows (and presumably, live on the compound until she started her own family) or live in the world and simply follow the teachings. It seems like the movement allows for levels of involvement.

Oh my god, yes. Sadie! It was all so poignant.

In Arabic, the word "ra'is", which means head/leader (typically, it is also a translation for "president"), is pronounced as "rah-EES", so both pronunciations are equally wrong, in my book, although either one could end up being how it is pronounced in dialect.

So true! It was about a 30-40 minute drive, which is totally doable. Growing up, my parents lived about an hour or so apart, depending on the traffic, but it's not a huge problem.

I would be so happy to watch a version of this show that has Jane and Petra living together and raising their babies.

She's absolutely my cup of soup. BLACK HOOOOOOOOOORSE!

So basically I learned that Tatiana Maslany is not single. Womp womp.

This makes me think of the doctor from "Praise Him", who figured that even an alternate-dimension hotel would have the capabilities for making tea. If they could find a way to bring her back, that would be great.

This is why I loved the James Corben episodes.
