It's Complicated is flipping delightful. I just watched it again today, and it was silly and warm and entertaining. Two feet of snow, homemade brownies and several whiskey cocktails almost certainly helped in that assumption, but it stands all the same.

The only reason I'm willing to get drunk and watch it is: 1) I'll be drunk. 2) It's Gary from Miranda playing Lucifer, and he's actually pretty charming and funny.

I was really hoping for a Remington Steele set-up, where teenage Nancy Drew hires grizzled alcoholic Detective Anti-heroine, formerly of the NYPD, to be the public face of her PI agency to cover for the fact that it's harder to officially take down criminals as a teenager.

Exactly. I feel like the Serial Serial group (which, can I just say, is a fundamentally silly premise) doesn't understand what this podcast is about—namely, depth over breadth. I'm loving this season, too, so part of it is also just a kneejerk "stop hating this thing I like!"

I'll admit, I completely missed season 1: I knew it was a Thing, and everyone was talking about it, but I couldn't be bothered to climb out from the rock I was living under; that said, as someone who listens to a ton of NPR and podcasts generally, I'm really digging this season—it's fascinating!
