The bassoon (it is a bassoon, right?) at the beginning of that first clip is like creeping death. I love that entire score, but its main theme is an all-timer. I got to see a preview screening of Hateful Eight about two months before it hit theaters, and I knew right when that score started playing during the opening t

It’s impossible to pick just one, but here are a few that come to mind.

This ominous masterpiece plays whenever I walk into a room.

Kinja kismet.

This is a damn good set, especially the last 15 minutes or so about the bitch-ass cop who arrested him for talking shit into his body camera while drunk. Check it out.

As an old hip-hop head, I can’t help but notice that it’s also filled with a ton of references to that, as well. I’m convinced that Lin modeled Hercules Mulligan after Busta Rhymes. Every time I see his verse on ‘Yorktown’, I’m reminded of how Q-Tip brings out Busta on ‘Scenario’.

He should’ve won one for ‘How Far I’ll Go’ in ‘Moana’, but that awful fucking piece of shit ‘City of Stars’ won for ‘La La Land’. I fucking hate that song. That whole movie would’ve been better if it wasn’t marred by that beige turd.

Baker’s got such a good take on TLOU. He provides a great running commentary on the entire game in that series, so you’ll enjoy it. And North is hilarious as ever, but it’s also really interesting to hear his input on his character in The Last Of Us. Such a vast difference between that character and Nathan Drake.

Personally I think it will accentuate your experience with TLOU2. I’d forgotten a lot of what happened in the first one, and I wish I’d played through the first again beforehand. I watched the 15-part Definitive Playthrough with Troy Baker and Nolan North on YouTube instead, though, and that was great. If you haven’t

Lost Legacy is fun, but it’s not essential. I recommend it for sure, but if you’re going to dive into TLOU2 sometime soon, I’d recommend the first game over LL for sure. Lost Legacy is a lark. The Last Of Us is a milestone.

Kept chugging along on The Last of Us: Part II. Still great as ever, and I’m enjoying the weird switch-up near the ending, as well. I’m hearing a whole lot of little boys on the internet are making brownies and lemonade in their Spider-Man undies about it, and that makes me laugh. Maybe someday they’ll grow up.

Yes, I’m sure Warner Bros is going to start throwing cease and desist orders on people running fan sites for IP they own, hence pushing them away from supporting said IP even further than they already are. Great idea.

Would someone shoot this asshole with a dart or something? Jesus fucking Christ, enough already.

A bunch of Wal-Marts near me are going to turn their parking lots into drive-ins. What a time to be alive.

Don’t think so. Maybe a week later or something.

Oh, that. I dunno. I’ve never seen the show live, so I’m not sure if that was a one-time thing for this recording or if it happens all the time.

Can’t say I noticed.

Lin also directed Star Trek Beyond, one of the best Trek films ever made. Far superior to any of the Fart & The Flatulence movies by a very long shot.
