The worst “f**k the troops” item has got to be when he didn’t have enough cash to buy shorts to go to Hawaii, so his wife recommended that he buy shorts from a Golf Pro Shop using funds from his charity that he could file under purchasing “golf balls for wounded warriors.”

“Duncan for his part has maintained his innocence, and, through a spokesperson, told CNN that he believes the charges against him and his wife are “purely politically motivated.””

Fun non-criminal but definitely dumb Duncan Hunter fact: In the indictment, he’s quoted as saying “Tell the Navy they can go fuck themselves.”

For once, this is absolutely an “AN EIGHTH GRADER COULD WRITE THIS!” essay. Usually people say that about things like Trump, but this essay actually reads like eighth grade writing— there are clear points that he’s trying to make, but the logic has huge, gaping holes, and there a lot of speculation and not a lot of

Hypocritical control freak is a core GOP value.

Actually...yes. Because he would not want to be on the hook for 18 years of child support because some whore got herself pregnant. He is the male version of conservative women who think everyone’s abortion is wrong except theirs or their daughters. Also note, he didn’t try to stop her from having the abortion, he

Is he mistaking Fiddler on the Roof for the Holocaust?

Yes, I was shocked at the language/writing/analysis in this, as someone (meaning me) who went to college and law school. Ok, someone who went to HIGH SCHOOL.

I’m 100% certain that there was a not-zero number of female professors, administrators, and the like at his school who had had abortions in their younger days, who, more likely than not, would not be in those positions if not for the abortions. It’s just the law of large numbers.

Yeah, the thing is, he’s in good company. I mean, he is not an outlier in that belief. That’s what Evangelical single-issue anti-abortion voters believe, honestly. They genuinely think that you and I are stupid for not understanding that a life murderously cut short after 5 or 10 or 50 years is inherently less tragic

This is the real Republican position on women and abortion:

I mean, he’s genuinely saying that abortion is worse that the Holocaust, because, at least Jews got to live first.

“By making the choice to have sex, a woman is making a conscious decision to engage in an act that has the natural result of creating a pregnancy”

Men shouldn’t have sex if they’re not prepared to accept that the woman may get an abortion.

Seriously though can you imagine the collective scream from men if women genuinely took this advice? I would maybe have had sex once every three years, and now that I’m done having kids I guess my husband is done having sex! Forever! If men have a problem with it they can take it to Scott Lloyd.

Like he’s gonna sit there and tell us that every time he’s had sex, he was 100% making a lifelong commitment. Bull. Shit.

I sort of doubt that abortion was a key step on their path to success.”

Yet another punchable face. I bet that woman who made the mistake of fucking him is so glad she did not have a baby by him.

Very true, but let’s play devil’s advocate and assume Honeyfoot’s account of this guy is spot on, and he’s just a creep. So what? Not all abuse victims are pleasant people. It isn’t just the saintly who get abused. Even bullies can be assaulted.

Exactly. I read somewhere that she is referred to as “a philosophical superstar” in the academia. My automatic reaction was that anyone called that has about 85% chance of being guilty of sexual harassment, or at least of some kind of abuse of power (for male superstars, probably 99% chance).
