I love you @Sanctusfilius:disqus

I only started watching this show about two weeks ago. My sorrow after finishing the first season (on DVD) was only tempered by the fact that the show had started its second season. What'll I do next week? How'll life be without PD every week? Bleaker.

I didn't really like Pitt in the role and was surprised to find Anderson better.

Oh man - I bailed for good (after promising to do so four seasons ago) due to the writing. But the really disturbing veneration of the characters and excusing of their flaws and the worrying worldview of the show itself, soured what had been a very meaningful thing to me.

He ignores her at her mother's funeral. She seems disowned by him - I think more of pyschological importance than strictly plot-based.

Oooh. So many echoes.

I think he was abandoning her, just like he abandoned the Creature.

That's the second reference to Friedberg and Seltzer I've seen today. My laziness compels me to ask who they are.

MacFarlane’s third feature after the (somewhat unfairly) maligned Western spoof A Million Ways To Die In The West,

Evelyn Poole dominating that nasty Lepidus was the perfect opposite of Victorianism? Lily relates to Angelique as Vanessa relates to the Cut-Wife? Victor is the creator of the sexism that oppressed Brona Croft? Bronastein is not a thrilling fulfilment but a subversive critique?

Yes to the suffragette! I'm going to research this more.

I confused the issue by not being clear that I was reputing your take on Lily's treatment of the Creature as not being feminist. Like all ideologies there are radical, militant versions.

I get that, but I love Rory Kinnear - I saw him as Henry the IV in the Hollow Crown cycle. He and Whishaw ate up the screen.

I didn't mean to sound accusatory. Shouldn't have used the rhetorical question then eh? I am curious, and I was pushing you to clarify what you meant.
I think sometimes, especially in genre fiction we are too critical of women where we would be lenient on men. I come from the Supernatural warground so I am truly too

Give Penny Dreadful a go. I find it compliments Hannibal very well.

Is it cool to flag spam?

Yeah, threatening to off yourself to control someone is big time abusive and this kid needs to get the fuck outta there.

Thank you for accepting my personhood. So few do.
Person to person? I'll take up your self-hate (would be self hate then though?) slack.
Feel better, I'm glad you didn't die.

Of course it is feminist. It is the extreme reaction. And it is the perfect opposite of the ideas which Victor and the Victorians espouse.
You may not comment on Bronastein's monstrosity without accepting that it is made by Victor. He is the creator. That is a feminist critique.

Fair? I don't understand how what you said was fair, in that you seemed to accept Clare, murders and all.
We are all gender biased to an extent - I think its best to be honest and deal with differing opinions directly. Some of the gender biases Logan is dealing with are sometimes invisible to people living them -
