What the hell am I sitting reading this shit when I could be out building one?
What the hell am I sitting reading this shit when I could be out building one?
I’m guessing this started with a “hold my beer” moment.
I think that’s what caused the hobby. Now they are at the point that they physically cannot do the 2nd part of your sentence.
I think you might be right, I will leave the other two to you, but the lack of foward visibility concerns me,
It seems like a rear-engined VW Beetle would be a better starting-point.
This is what happens when all the houses in a country are equipped with hot and cold running vodka
Ural insane
Is this a Y-12?
Probably gonna use a lot of GAZ.
That’s a Lada cylinders.
What I don’t understand is that the majority of drivers who drive with just DRLs at night most likely have auto-on headlights and just don’t realize their the switch isn’t in the auto mode. For example, the car was taken in for servicing and the tech turns the switch to off while they work on it. Happens every time I…
Even worse are the cars without DRL but have a nice bright instrument panel and a dense steering wheel holder that doesn’t notice they have no lights on.
They cant see you flashing at them when they are looking at their phones
Also, prepare to catch shit for using “she” as your hypothetical bad driver.
The one thing I’ve never understood about DRL’s: why not just have all the lights on all the time if you’re doing the headlights anyway? I don’t think anyone would complain about tail lights on during daylight hours.
The IIHS should also add vehicles to this list which do not have an automated headlights on feature. Following a car with no tail-lights is troubling, especially on unlit roadways. Cannot count how many times I’ve driven behind someone who thinks their headlights are on because the DRL’s are illuminating the road…
I’ll be interested to see how he does. I don’t think he’s actually particularly well qualified to be Transportation Secretary, but I do think he’s very smart, very ambitious, and knows damn well that this posting, this right here, is his shot at the big time. He can’t afford to fail, so I expect him to go 110% and…
Well-presented perspective, and I agree in every point. If transportation has ever mattered after the great transformation of our societies following WW2, it is now. “Rethinking mobility” is more than a catchphrase, and something that matters to every single household. Many have tried entirely new ways of (non-)…
I think Buttigieg’s nomination is actually pretty interesting, if you care about politics. This is a guy who has just vaulted himself from mayor of a small city, to a Cabinet post running a department that is in itself half the size of said city. He did it by raising his profile with a presidential run—one that was…
Neutral: My first interaction will be me, getting more and more frustrated at the slow, erratic driving of a delivery van to the point where I start shouting and honking angrily. It is only after I finally pass the inconsiderate asshole will I discover it was driverless. The slow realization that I was the real…
It’s freaky. Like it’s a CGI car or something. Wow. Amazing how your eyes can’t adapt to see any detail. Really cool. Not for a car but as an experiment.
