Like I said in the other post - Vettes have outgunned 911s for awhile. The 911 is just a different car than Corvettes. Different look, feel, heritage, etc. People aren’t just looking at specs when buying a sports car. It’s an emotional purchase. If someone wants a 911, they’re getting a 911. A Corvette won’t

I legit laughed out loud in disbelief. Chevy really isn’t fucking around.

I am freaking the fuck out

Starting price at less than $60k.... Consider the game changed.

Because it’s a Corvette.  It’s the cool-hipster Jalopnik thing to do.    Now somebody get me a brown BMW from the late 1980s.

The fact that people are griping and moaning about a non-traditional Vette having a non-traditional steering wheel is hilarious.

It should have a tiller

Came here to post this.  Gracias.

Don’t watch a lot of racing, eh?

I’m just here for all the bitching and moaning.  Honestly the corvette is the every man’s supercar. You don’t get to have a car look like it should cost $150k with materials out of cars that cost $150k and then complain when it even costs $75k.

EARTH IS FLAT BUT MY WHEEL BETTER BE ROUND

I disagree. I think it looks awesome, but I also generally like the look of the leaked shots from the C8 too. Hell, I’d even prefer a more full on GT3 style wheel (more rectangular) in these cars. Isn’t saying that steering wheels “should be round” a bit like saying the Corvette should always be Front-engine

I mean, I get where they’re going with it. Here’s an IndyCar steering wheel:

If they are the type do carve canyons at 125 mph, watching a video of someone crashing is extremely unlikely to stop them.

Are you fucking kidding me?

A move like that in F1 is worth 5 min in penalty and license revoked...

This is amazing.

Now playing

He even brings it to a Remote Controlled Touring Car race.

That’s already more passing than a whole season of F1.

I love John Hindhaugh’s commentary. He is honestly one of my favourite ever commentators
