Not the first Navigator. The original Navigator was first to market. GM responded in turn by taking a Yukon Denali and doing very little to it other than renaming it the Escalade (even the wheels, side cladding and headlamps were identical between Yukon Denali and Escalade).

Every Navigator has been a sad exercise in aping the Escalade, only not as well...until this. If actual Navigators out in the wild look this good, color me impressed.

Not surprised. For people who would be new to drag racing or still inexperienced, an automatic is going to always allow for better consistency. The skill cap required to consistently get faster times out a manual in a car like this is very, very high.

And no wagon and/or diesel version? Why are you even reporting on this? Does it even come in brown?

I’m 87.5% certain your 90% claim is 100% inaccurate. I’m 100% certain you are wrong about no one ever owning one. People have bought far worse cars for far worse reasons.

I guess Jalopnik shouldn’t ever write about Ferraris, Lamborghinis, M3s, M4s, M5s or any other car that costs more than $80k since those cars will only ever be owned by trust fund babies or 75 year old boomers by your metrics. There are many interesting and expensive cars in their own rights. I don’t see anyone…

The tires come in the “Demon Crate”, which is their version of a track pack. It’s literally in the picture, lol. Untwist them panties a little.
