As a former 997 owner, who really wanted a C7 but ended up with an F-Type R instead, I could not agree more. Obviously, with the F-Type it’s kind of what makes the car. Certainly one of it’s primary allures. And - yes - the flat six wail is an immensely important part of Porsche ownership as well in my opinion. For

Scripted or not, it promotes street racing and that is why I refuse to watch. Big Chief is such a tool bag that when they did the stupid cross over with Gas Monkey, I found myself defending Rawlings to my dogs. One should never be in the position to defend Rawlings, even to their dog.

There’s a lot behind that crest, it’s for good reason that people want it.

I’m in my 40's so if you are in your 20's I’d gladly trade places with you, you can be 40 and have my corvette if I can be 20 again :)

I’ve owned both a 981 CS, and now a 987.1 CS. The 987.1 is more fun, visceral, engaging, challenging, and rewarding to drive. The 981 is more refined, less twitchy, and has better technology, but still great fun.

As somebody who drives both a ‘96 LT4 and a ‘90 ZR-1, I agree. The LT4 is better at power delivery and probably just as fast, but it doesn’t make the noises the ZR-1 does and is thus less entertaining to drive.

As the owner of a 2015 C7 I can tell you that half the fun of driving the car is hearing the noises it makes in sport and track mode. It snorts and spits and backfires into 2nd and 3rd. It really adds to the enjoyment of driving the car. The noise a car makes is a huge deal.

Ive never really watched, and Ive always assumed it was completely staged and fake. This does not change my opinion.

Wagon confirmed!

Ugh. I am OCD, and I ride the Shortline bus from Monticello, NY to NYC on a fairly regular basis. I like to sit in the first row of seats on the non-driver side, and when it rains I spend an inordinate amount of time trying to mentally impose a sense of order on the wipers pattern.

I want to buy this car and use it to fight crime somehow.

(that’s a good two inches)

V8s are wonderful, but I say this V6 has proven itself.

It better be $kay

I’m honestly neither disappointed nor surprised. The GT/GT40 has always been the car Ford took racing first and drove on the street second or not at all. Ford never planned on selling this for any reason other than to make it raceable at Le Mans, and it’s engineered accordingly.

Hail the tr6
