Yeah, he may be very memorable but honestly, despite being the title character, I don't think Beetlejuice was really about Beetlejuice. He was more a colorful side character/antagonist. The real story was about the Maitlands and the Dietzes coming to understand and accept each other, and you can't tell that one

I can't feel anything about this until Big Eyes comes out. I'm banking on Big Eyes to restore my hope for Tim Burton and if it doesn't happen this will just make me sad.

I can tell I've just ruined your day with my shameful behavior, senpai.

Nice choice of words for someone who can't refute anything.

If your response to "people shouldn't shame/insult fat people" is "stop embracing fatties!" then yeah, you are saying we need to insult them.

Yeah, it's weird how so many people do it out of self-loathing anyway though, right? Maybe we aren't insulting them enough. That'd probably fix it.

What if I told you...

I assume the intent was to convey that skirts are gender-neutral, we just categorize them as female clothing...but yeah, I agree it doesn't come across quite like that. Maybe if they were more widespread, and/or more practical as uniforms....it was a good idea though!

Darn tootin. Also shit shit shit, I meant to star your reply and I somehow clicked dismiss by accident and it's not letting me un-dismiss D:

Headcannon accepted.

Yeah, but how often did it actually appear on male crewmen after that first episode? (I've barely seen half of the TNG episodes, so for all I know it may show up a lot, but I can't think of any time except that first one.)

I have a suspicion even male Bones didn't eat much, he always seemed hangry and I doubt he trusted replicated food.

SOMEONE HAVE FEMALE SCOTTY GET INTO A BAR FIGHT WITH KLINGONS IMMEDIATELY.

I am really curious about that as well! After TNG Star Trek often tries to make gestures at trying to exist in a universe where sexism is less of a thing, but because it's being written, produced and aired in our muggle world where sexism is still totally a thing, that tends to not come through in the actions of the

Will she be as promiscuous as her male counterpart? Will her crew see her differently for it? Will male nurse Chapel have a huge crush on Spock? Will female Bones be just as crotchety and racist? Did you notice some of them wear pants and others wear miniskirts? WILL SPOCK'S FATHER BE HUMAN AND HIS MOTHER BE VULCAN??

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES.

It is. Almost as if they do care. As if they in fact have a huge emotional investment in other people being silent when they're offended or hurt. Funny old world.

Or that being an ally is something you can just identify as rather than something that is revealed through their words and actions. The same way people are like "I can say this racist thing because I'm not racist!"

Also, for those who do put up the "I don't have to care that you're offended," they can do that if they like. But don't expect me to care when someone hurts their feelings by calling them racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, etc.

It is completely judging someone's health based entirely on appearance. Others lost weight in unhealthy ways, and the end result was something we consider acceptable, therefore it's fine. This end result was a little on the skinny side of what we consider attractive, therefore WE'VE GONE TOO FAR, IT WAS COMPLETELY
