It's safe to say anyone who lost weight via Biggest Loser has done it in an unhealthy, way, because people on that show lose too much, too fast, through terrible methods. BUT. Why the fuck is this woman's case any different than every single past contestant on the show? They all lost weight in unhealthy ways.

I'm glad to hear that, as this was my first impression too. It may have been poorly executed but I can't imagine someone would make a word problem about victim-blaming and harassment taking a deadly emotional toll on a rape victim with anything other than empathy as the intent.

Yeah who would have thought people find rape more objectionable than lingerie! LOL

The article implies that the sweater/hat combo was made for her but she "also knit another hat for her husband" to thank him for supporting her hobby. That hat/sweater combo were clearly made for her....

How is that food getting into her mouth? What is it? I thought for a second that Sailor Moon was merrily vomiting onto a plate. I have so many questions right now.

I assumed it was an instructive diet for losing weight by letting the curse of the wolf pass into you. (Rearranging your skeletal-muscular structure once a month burns mucho calories!)

I think it varies from state to state, but it's generally legal. Unfortunately, dumpster diving becomes illegal if the dumpster is beyond a fence or a gate, which most stores have. Because then it's trespassing.

That's the attitude we're breeding—it's more important that no one gets anything they didn't "earn" than anything else. Better to throw food away than let a kid whose parents didn't pay for it eat it. It's not about needing the money for other things. It's about punishing people who either don't, or can't, pay.

It's a nice photo overall! The little details of the steam from the pot and the pans on the wall give it a sentimentality that I think is nice. It helps the photo look more loving.

I personally think this one is the strongest, mainly because it seems like an image of his mother that he might have had in his mind from his own childhood. (His pose even made me think for a moment the photo had been taken from a slightly lower angle, which in my mind would have made it even better)

Ultimately, even

You're framing it as a "thin vs fat" war which is seriously destructive. Women (and men,) of all body types should be supporting each other, not tearing each other down to make themselves feel better.

Hi. I'd like to interject here, please, because what I'm seeing here is really destructive talk.

Honestly, I think the subtext of this is:

"SHE'S A GIRL!"

"NO! IT CAN'T BE! YOU'RE LYING!" *grabs man by the collar, shaking* "TELL ME THE TRUTH! TELL ME SHE'S NOT A GIRL!!"

I know, right? All the little quirks that real bodies have are visible!

Seriously, it's almost as if people still care about diversity and representation even if there's not photoshopping.

Broadmouth, actually. That's right. I'm a magical talking shark.

Fah, I say! Ladders are for the weak. You shouldn't be allowed to run the mechanisms of society until you've gotten a bottle of soy sauce off the very back of a grocery shelf three feet above your head.

Yeah, they were Dutch and they were the hosts of the show. They said they wanted to better empathize with their wives, and good for them on that. They bowed out early (the average labor is 12 to 14 hours, and the plan was to simulate that) but they managed to last 2 hours, not just 15 minutes.

Wow, what planet do you live on?
