“I don’t know enough about the rule to understand it right now and comment on it.”

It’s always nice to see a new coach who acknowledges his program’s traditions.

I have not read Meyer’s contract in full. But here is the pertinent clause as reported by many outlets:

Typically a single payer system can’t deny coverage.  They can limit coverage for things they don’t deem medically necessary (elective surgeries, cosmetic, etc.)    And an individual wouldn’t pay any more since it’s single payer.

Talk to me when your insurance company denies you or your kids coverage for something because of your DNA.

When players treat football like a game the Mustache Petes say it’s a business and get all blowhardy about “seriousness”; When the players treat football like a business they get lectures about The Game.

Kudos to the woman who came forward, but I can’t help but say something doesn’t smell right. I mean, the articles I’ve read had said he was physically abusive but don’t give any details. The details I’ve seen talk about verbally harassing her, threatening to withhold money, taking a wreath off a door and throwing it

By and large, yes, if you do the withholding right and you don’t have investment income or losses. Psychology is weird, though—my father in law loves to over-withhold and get a big refund. You can explain to him that he’s basically giving the government a zero interest loan all day and he won’t care.

1. Median home price in Michigan is $179k.

10s of thousands? Michigan caps at 33% and the settlement comes to around $1.2m per victim.

Money is freedom and the ability to not have to work while still providing a roof over your head cannot be overstated.

No amount of money is going to put destroyed lives back together but hopefully there is enough to pay for the extended therapy these women will need for the foreseeable future.

Funny you should put it that way. I was just explaining to my son why Qatar would even want to host a world cup, and I just told him that oil-rich countries with questionable human rights practices get fawned over by the media and press no matter what during large events like this.

A forger working for CVS accuses a woman of being a forger.

Sure, that sucks for Croatia, but protesting a murderous oligarch is a tad more important.

I agree. The media has been very silent in their coverage of the world cup about the awful stuff that happens in Russia. What these people were protesting is far more important than a game.

Yeah, I don’t think it’s fair to call these people “Idiots on the Field” when they are trying to bring attention to the farce that is Putin’s Russia.  These people have some serious guts.

You know the leader there fixed the last election in Russia and maybe other nations, and the fact the world cup is playing there is due to bribery.

Sorry to interrupt your game but there’s literally people who are being sent to prison or killed because they said something bad about their dictator.

Things I Would Do In Putin’s Russia, Ranked
1) Get hit by a bus (Russian drivers are crazy).
...
Last) Invade the pitch of the World Cup final in the name of Pussy Riot (I’m a coward).

If it really was Pussy Riot, I’m not sure they’re idiots. Frankly, FIFA and Putin sorta deserved to have the field invaded every five minutes.
