I just finished my adventures in baby shower gifts....a friend was trying to convince me to ask for an eco/green/chemical free crib that cost around the same price as the Bugaboo....the most expensive piece of furniture we have every purchased is a $700 Ikea couch. My husband had a similar experience as a child; his cat charged a dog that was threatening him. Our three cats have gotten more protective of me since I became pregnant, they are wonderful family animals. :)

I remember these lists during the 90s Riot Grrrl movement. It's over a decade later and I have no issue with these lists; women have to protect themselves.

I call my mom and tell her I love her, I hope my daughter will do the same when she is born. We celebrate birthdays in my family, and get together for the big holidays, but we pass on the "Hallmark" holidays; they are meaningless.
