I never said she was a criminal.
I never said she was a criminal.
Two looks similar to the attached photographs - both judged to be timeless by 15 and 16 year old Smuttins circa 1995/1996. Prom = emerald green satin dress that looks okay, but less so when paired with odd, chunky sandals referenced by other 90's peeps, tight updo with two weird center parted side bangs and burgundy…
I wore a red version of the yellow dress Hudson wears on the cover of “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” (I’ve never seen the movie, so I have no idea if she wore it in the film itself). I had NEVER felt as beautiful as I did that night- one of the only nights in all of my teenage years where I felt beautiful. I look…
It’s a pizza shaped sack. How is it amazing?
that black dress is one of the best things they ever put Aniston in for that TV show. Top 3, at least, if not a solid First.
She cut up TWO vintage dresses!
She cut up a vintage gown to make THAT MONSTROSITY. I am with you.
Yes! This dress is gorgeous. It’s also the look I was going for at my prom (2003), but ended up with something very similar but also COVERED in gold glittery designs. Not so timeless after all. Rachel is my eternal style icon from head to toe!
I’m still mad about Andie’s dress in Pretty in Pink.
I wore something exactly like that as a date to a different school’s semiformal, except it had small applicque peach tule flowers running down one side. I loved that dress. Felt SO urban and sophisticated.
I remember that wedding dress, it was gorgeous.
I also tried to do the whole “wear a timeless dress” thing so as not to embarrass myself in photos years later. I bought a long, black dress with spaghetti straps. Very Rachel from friends circa 2000 (which is appropriate given that it was 1999). That dress was bangin.
2001 prom dress here was a knock off of Caroline bissett kennedys wedding dress. Forever timeless. Not sure what the hot trend was that year, but everyone shopped at ABS by Allen Schwartz- they had a list with the school you went to and what dress you got so there was no overlap.
My alcoholic partner quit cold turkey 2 years ago and THANKFULLY he was fine, but I remember he went to our GP a few months after quitting asking for therapy and the doctor was so dismissive. He basically said, well, you still have a job so your situation can’t be that bad but if you *need* to, here is the number for…
My prom dress was a knockoff of Rose’s dress from Titanic and was GORGEOUS. The trendy dress that year was a denim vest attached to a tutu. I regret nothing and never will.
Yeah, functional alcoholics can also be, you know, human beings.
I think the “daddy, why are you a misogynistic asshole” question might be a little more pressing for her, but good job.
Ah, so you mean all the responses I got saying things just happened were off base?
You say that as if thats not essentially exactly the defense thats used in a lot of rape cases...
Seriously, where’s the logic in that? It’s like you can’t get raped because you’ve had sex before.
