If the Dart name had carried on, it would have ended up FWD anyway. The K-Car platform was it's natural progression along with the rest of the industry. The fact that people get upset over it being FWD isn't all that warranted.

I've owned 3 TDIs two gas VWs and can tell you the regular maintenance is no more expensive than a gasser.
Wait, so bro-truck guys loved diesel, before diesel was cool.
This is great news- more diesels entering the used market!!
"For awhile it seemed like the only people who liked diesels where truck drivers and us Jalops. Even though diesel vehicles only make up 3% of the market, US sales are up 25%. "
Priced-right, I'd be all over this.
Socialism is the removal of competition, with centrally-planned elements taking over for the free market. Whether this is owned by the town or not makes no difference, it's still capitalism because it's in an open market and people are voting with their dollar. Also, what's the tax burden on each of the citizens to…
if you folks think this is socialism, i highly recommend revisiting your high school civics curriculum.
I can't imagine not having my Volt anymore. Last week my dad had a major medical issue and I had to decide to drive about 1500 miles to see him. Last minute airfare was about $700 each, so my brother and I decided to drive. Made the drive in about 26 hours nonstop (besides the few minutes at the gas pump every 5 hours…
Well, to be fair that was designed in GM's darkest days. Think '02 Taurus. And I think the I5 was Isuzu sourced. Both GM and Ford have come a long, long way since then. The new Colorado is shaping up to be a class-leading truck. I don't even like trucks and I strangely want one.
I would own one of these over a SUV because I don't need to transport passengers and sometimes need to transport objects that might be unwieldy to secure to a roof. I would own one over a truck because I don't need/like the tall ride height associated with most pickups. I'm admittedly in a small minority, but I think…
Diesel compact pickup? Yes please. Don't care what brand it is, this just needs to start being a thing in the U.S. I love the new F-150s, but really just don't need a truck that big. This I would be VERY interested in.
I've been saying they should be doing this ever since Fiat and Chrysler hooked up. Do it. Do it now.
At least one awkwardly-lifted and heavily camo'ed Fiat Strada has been spotted testing in Michigan, with what looks…
"There are no laws on the books in California saying it's legal or illegal for motorcyclists to split lanes..." Or in other words, it's legal. There's no ambiguous middle ground, not in the U.S.A. anyway. If no legislature has made an act illegal then it's not. Legal is the default condition.
Ugh, if they sold this in the US I'd be first in line to own one. The Panda 4x4 is a seriously great car.
One thing to note with this whole deal is that this isn't just some calculated number, it's a set of standardized testing with defined criteria for acceleration, gradeability (the ability to maintain speed on an incline), braking (both dynamic and static e.g. slowing down and parking brake on an incline respectively),…
