Jason, I totally agree. But I can think of three very large, very powerful companies with a different opinion. There's no benefit to the big three's bottom lines in abolishing this tax. Doing so would increase competition, which would increase creativity and evolution of the product. That's good for the consumer,

Volkwagen Amarok approves this message.

Good thing I live overseas. I get to experience higher crime rates, non-existent social security...and Ford Ranger Diesel pickups...'tis a thing of beauty.

I'd love to think getting rid of this outdated law that is harming jobs and manufacturing would be on the top of Congress's list of things to do, but I'm sure there's a vagina walking around free out there somewhere.

That's a fantastic attitude from bill ford. I wish our nation would share that sentiment.

If they did I'd trade in my Dakota in a heartbeat for that sweet looking Ranger. Especially if it came with a 5.0 V8. Hell, I'd even take an Ecoboost V6. I don't need a big truck.

It doesnt make sense that they dont sell this in the states.

The problem with the biggest automaker, whoever that is at the time, is that they probably got there by stating 'we want to be the biggest' and working towards that. So the decisions they make are geared towards 'will this help us be bigger?' And the most common ways of doing that are cheapening the materials,

Did you read the article? Like any of it??

Don't be a troll. If you don't have something constructive to say, we as a community would appreciate if you said nothing at all.

Y'all are missing the Ranger's main selling point and differentiation from the F150 that will make it sell like hotcakes, at least here in Canada...DIESEL. I wish Ford would get their head out of their ass and bring the Ranger here somehow.

Have you driven the Dart? Been inside one, all that jazz? They are nice cars, and the value they offer is hard to beat, epecially when your order a Rallye with the DCT.

I don't actually like the way the Giulietta looks on the outside, and find the Dart to be prettier.

Cause nobody wants a fwd Alfa. Before Europe's carpocalypse, sales of Alfas (which were mostly all fwd) were terrible. People will take a fwd Dodge Dart because it is better than a Caliber.

Well I for one wouldn't want one of dem goddamned foreign commie cars. I'd rather have a true 'merican motor like the Dart than some kind of eurotrash unreliable girly piece of crap.

Here, I'll make this better.

Oh, the wealthy Londoners will lap the i3 up, I'm sure. The numbers stack up for them, and bike/bus isn't perceived as an option for a good many.

All electric vehicles I've seen have been very expensive for what they are, even with fiscal benefits.

Completely agree. Between my experience with Sync, MMI, UConnect and just recently Chevy's MyWhatever the UConnect is probably the best bang for your buck in lower-priced cars. It was one of the main reasons why I chose my 300 over the others. MMI takes the cake though on all systems.
