The righteous, reflexive indignation aimed at anything Bill Simmons utters or (infrequently) writes these days makes me laugh. I’m old enough to remember when Bill Simmons was nearly universally hailed by those who mattered as the best, most innovative voice for the times as the interwebs came of age. His brand of…

My experience with Delta, as a brown lady. Three years ago, flying from a meeting in Detroit to SF, standing in the premier line. Gate agent repeatedly tries to shoo me out of the line a good 10 minutes before boarding was going to start. Mind you he approached none of the other (white, male) passengers in the…

I signed one too and I sit my ass down during that noise. I paid to watch a game not an America is great rally.

Just a reminder. People didn’t die so you have to stand for the national anthem. They died so you can sit if you so choose. Even if they don’t agree with someone’s opinion, they were willing to fight for it. That’s what makes this country great. (Even though we have our moments.)
A good rule of thumb (no matter what race you are training for) is to try and run 80% of your weekly volume at low intensity. The other 20% should include a moderate and high intensity workout. As for the Marathon, if you are frustrated by your time, run more. It sounds simple, it is simple, and it works.
Note: this isn’t doxing anyone, but simply some socio-economic background data on the author and her ‘normal’ life.
