When using the calculator, how do you account for the varying interest rates for the different US Department of Ed loans? I have varying balances in 5 loans with interest rates ranging from 3.4%-6.8%.

I have about $30k in student loans, mostly just the standard FAFSA loans with a small loan from my university. My question, is there any benefit to consolidating my loans? What does that even mean, really?
