Newgrounds will be fine, they’re already preparing for this scenario for a long time with Ruffles. They also have Newgrounds Player built that can play any Flash content without any of troubling vulnerabilities.

Newgrounds switched to HTML5 content quite some time ago, and they are the ones who sponsored the open source emulator mentioned in this article (Ruffles) for legacy content, and have a desktop player. Kongregate is way late to the party

They shut them down like a year or two ago. It’s not a big deal though because somebody managed to get a fan server going to replace it. All you have to do to join it is change your DNS in network settings.

most devs are focused on providing a perfect “sim” experience, even on consoles. arcade racing games are kinda dead, sadly.

Hell, when people discovered that Sunshine’s tutorial cut out FLUDD saying “R,” it was almost as if Nintendo came by and killed their puppies in cold blood. No joke, one guy was bitching at how Nintendo was too “cheap”…

Be sure to toggle the option that gives you a 180 spin at the touch of a button (I can’t remember what it’s called) so that you learn to hit it each time you ollie to add (at least) another 50% to your score multiplier each and every time. Often you can get two spins in over gaps and such.

OK, but then you don’t get the dopamine hit from the sound effect when you hit a special. All the multipliers in the world can’t match that satisfaction...
