The charging network and better range across most of their models is really their primary strength. At some point the rest of the market will catch up with these two points, and the value proposition evaporates pretty quickly.

This is the Achilles heel for Tesla which, in a world where everyone is making EV’s is going to bite them in the ass. Model S debuted TEN years ago. The Model 3 is 4 years old.

I loved that windshield design. Look at that coverage!

The scary thing is that he’s learning just like Trump learned, that the far right grievance politics types are absolutely fucking THIRST QUENCHING FIREHOSES for guys like this. Tell them exactly what they want to hear and they will spew adoration down your throat forever.

Yet.

It’s the same con-artist performative bullshit. Both of them promise the world, and then never deliver. “I alone can fix it” “I will build the wall!” ... “We will have a self driving robotaxti that can make you money in 12 months!”

And tunnels!! DONT FORGET HE INVENTED TUNNELS.

I’m actually surprised it took almost 20 minutes after the post went live. Although, I will say it is pretty innovative to be able to try to buy a company, yet somehow tank your other company’s stock by acting like an overgrown child.

ps- further down there are some more data points to back up some of your assertions. The cost of a lot of things is a lot less. I think the big takeaway is that the standard of living is significantly lower, so the employees are likely living in pretty basic accomodations, can’t afford cars etc, but because the cost

It’s 100% way better to be that guy. It’s kind of amazing just how few people, when faced with valid and accurate challenges to their assumptions, cannot course-correct and come out more informed.

In 2021 it’s Pox with an extra side of Covid!

Yeah, if this allows the Emira to exist, I’m totally on board.

Came to say this. Take your star.

True. Mercedes did manage for a while with overall “classes” of vehicles with modifiers based on configuration. But I think overall the Germans have always tended to overcomplicate their branding... for example “BMW 430i xDrive Gran Coupe” - technically correct...but also kind of ridiculous.

We just said goodbye to our 2012 Honda Fit Sport. Got a 2018 BMW X1 (long story don’t judge) and not gonna lie, we got surprisingly emotional when we had to say goodbye to our Burnt Orange buddy.

Agreed on the Fit. While amazingly durable (my wife was t-boned in hers by an RX300 without injury) it was so tinny with such little soundproofing that your voice would get tired having a long conversation at highway speeds because you had to raise it to be heard over the engine.

The other thing about Honda’s is when something goes wrong? It usually costs peanuts to fix vs. other makes.

Besides AWD, there is nothing the HR-V does better than the Honda Fit it is based on. I say this as a previous Honda Fit owner (my wife’s car) who cross-shopped an HR-V as a potential replacement.

He didn’t drive the car, but the entire stunt, whether it resulted in a crash or not was incredibly dangerous, and he was told ahead of time that the guy was going to go for a jump.
