You do a lot of drunk driving I guess?
You do a lot of drunk driving I guess?
Is it causing more deaths though? Or is that just MUCH easier to prove after the fact? Nobody is testing after the fact to say “this crash was caused by distracted driving cell phone use” in a lot of cases.
My DC-DC convertor class I took as an undergrad (which was actually a Masters level course) for my electric engineering degree was really, really cool. It was one of the courses I enjoyed the most. Taught by an adjunct who actually designed them in industry, including for high power applications.
And a blog with a commenting section that actually sort of WORKS. Most blog and article comment sections on the internet are a complete disaster, full of either trolls or morons, or both. This place has always had good commenters, making actually insightful or funny comments, and trolls mostly being ignored and…
It is, it’s just very slow.
I like that the number of duplicates seems completely random. Will there be 4 pictures? 8? 2? Who knows! It’s Kinja baby.
Yep, usually if there are multiple bridges and no way to get to them without going under the first, you just sign the first one with whatever the lowest clearance of the set is.
I mean, broken windows was an unmitigated, racist failure. You’re really gonna use NYC as an example?
If you have it, you’re trained in its use, and you’re going to have to go under a car to attach chains? Probably not.
Good Samaritan laws protect you in the case of making good faith efforts to help.
Mazda CX-7 you have to remove the wheel, remove the wheel well cladding (about 700 plastic fasteners, you’ll manage to put 5 of them back without breaking them) and then you can actually access the bulb properly. The other way is to contort your hand into ungodly positions, cut it 400 times on sharp things, and manage…
Yeah, I thought the same thing. They’re not going to throw that almost brand new battery in the trash. They’re going to open it up, fix that nipple, and sell it for $14k as remanufactured (or, knowing Tesla, just put it in a new car). I could see charging him $3k or something, but the full $16k is absurd.
Why don't they just plug the controllers in? The input lag goes up slightly but the input consistency is much, much better. Rocket League everyone uses wired because the consistency is key even if you give up a couple ms input lag. I guess for shooters consistency is less important than speed?
Yeah, but you have warmers built in, you don’t have to take it out at least.
My first thought too, lol. That skimmer probably isn’t up to the task of removing a car. Not to mention you probably want to drain and replace the water, maybe an acid wash, clean the equipment, I don’t think the pumps and filters were meant to handle gasoline and oil and stuff.
And they have LOTS of it to throw.
Even in $100 bills, that would weigh over 550 tons. The internet tells me that a standard Brinks armored truck can hold about half a billion. So you’ll need 100 of those trucks lined up outside, plus all the necessary forklifts and stuff to move the pallets around.
Looks like a really interesting place to be. I bet the view of the night sky is pretty amazing from way out there. 4 hours to the nearest “town” is pretty darn remote.
I used to live on the coast, liveaboard in a marina on the ICW. One of the highlights of the year was the offshore fishing tournaments, with tons of these fast offshore center consoles idling past on their way out to the ocean (and a race to the gulf stream to fish and race back). Most had like 4x250 outboards. One of…
No, we shouldn’t investigate it. Absolutely not. It was days ago. Let’s just move on.
