Carptenter’s hatchet according to the internet.

The scoring for the curve is my favorite part. It’s so perfectly done.

I wish Kinja would display the gif properly for me. It’s one I’ve seen many times, dude has skills.

You’ll like this one too. It’s from last year, but perfect.

I’m curious, before the advent of satellites and stuff, how did one distinguish a hurricane from a tropical cyclone from a post-tropical storm? Is it just wind strength and wind field and stuff? Or wind direction over a large area you can tell that it’s spinning?

I was just talking to my wife the other day about how deaf/hearing impaired people who normally rely at least partially on lip reading were coping. I’m guessing it’s been very difficult for them lately.

I’ll just have to shoot my dog and my sleeping wife myself. Like a true American patriot! Then I’ll toss a flashbang into my little boy’s crib.

6 hours a week. I guess it’s family time though. Better than the 15 hours a week I spent commuting for about 9 months. 90 minutes each way 5 days a week.

I always wonder stuff like this when I read about archaeological finds and stuff. I know they’re good at what they do, but we have so little evidence from some locations and peoples that we could just be completely making shit up basically.

I’m sorry, I’m mostly just blown away by the 90 minute each way trip to your daughter’s home soccer field. I’m guessing that’s at least twice a month? I hope to god they didn’t practice there daily.

I worked at an ESOP for two years. If you’re at a company that happens to be doing extremely well, and has a great market share in a mostly recession proof industry, and you’re a person who picks one job and stays there, you can do quite well.

I have no idea why they bothered redacting it. Anyone with two brain cells reading this site knows that's Tesla.

This is the exact time to take all those unemployed people, get a Green New Deal, and figure out how to use them to install solar panels, plant trees, install wind turbines, etc.

So, this is a “remotely” (few feet, and cabled, not wireless) controlled, hydraulic arm, that’s attached to a person.

I did Jiu Jitsu when I was much younger, and all of the chokes in that are aren’t air chokes (or shouldn’t be, because those cause damage, in addition to taking fucking forever) but blood chokes. And yes, you can pass out VERY quickly if someone does it full, as I learned a couple times grappling. I wouldn’t want to

I’ve seen this so many times, and it’s still so great.

I went through the first 3/4 of this article assuming it was gallons, not tonnes, and being like, I mean, that’s a lot of fuel, but hardly seems like a country-wide disaster, and $1.5 billion seems steep.

The list of things they do understand is considerably shorter.

IANAL but those three elements look pretty easily provable here. I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t charge her.... I just can’t imagine....
