Utility companies don’t have the time, money, or people to replace everything that’s not 100%. You have to prioritize, so I’m not sure that deferring maintenance is necessarily obviously evil.

The visitor’s cars thing is so funny. There’s a place in Charlotte that sells exotic/classic/interesting cars, and out front in the parking lot I saw a brand new Z06, one of the fastest cars on the property for sure (probably even faster than the LFA they had inside).

Oh my god yes. My wife makes it with a butter bean paste in place of the burger these days, and it’s amazing. Tater tots, green beans, butter beans, cream of mushroom, these are all good and just things, and put them together and they get better!
