Prisons, health care and education

Well, it is not yet accomplished. I will be relieved when there are no more private prisons, although this is a step in the right direction.

The fact that companies are in the business of imprisoning people and generating enough profit to be traded publicly on the stock market is disgusting. Corrections should not be a for profit business venture, ever.

As always, it took a journalist going undercover for the government to get embarrassed enough to actually address what had been going on all the time.

I agree. If they wanted to write and include the note to her- fine. But posting it publicly is crossing boundaries/ a bit of a violation to me. Not cool.

I’m surprised to find myself in this camp, too. If Ivanka published the note once received, I’d be praising the note and the donations, but having it put up by the folks who sent it? Nah. It’s one thing to stand by your convictions, it’s another to put it up on social media and make it a big thing.
