OKAY so it looks like all we can do at the moment is create our own blog posts under our username and hope they get shared. I'm gonna hunt down someone who's posted about books recently and see if there's a way we can get a space.

As a Brit it blows my mind that contraception would ever not be free. I was on the pill from age 15 when a condom broke and I had to use the morning after pill. It was fucking horrific and I felt disgusting for days. Hopped onto the Pill and it was easy to get and free and I was so fucking grateful.
Especially since they hired Owen Jones, who is the best not-female journo for a mile in the UK.
DUDE I am totally there nerding with you. I just applied to volunteer at my local library partly because their selection of authors is really male-dominated and I want to push them to improve that shit.
Thanks. I have an interview for an absolute dream, oh-god-I-didn't-even-know-it-was-a-real-job job on Monday. It's such an awesome job that the interview I have TO MANAGE A CAKE SHOP on Thursday is my second place, just-in-case interview.
I appreciate that this gets the clicks and all, but could we talk about some awesome women for a second? Like how the Guardian's staff just chose a brilliant female editor, and they're already leading the way with a host of brilliant women writing for both them and the Observer? Or how about the YA Book Prize being a…
I actually liked this one. How often is anyone female-identifying but not prettied up asked about their outfit? Like yeah, this person thinks their look is sick as fuck, good on them.
You may well be absolutely fine - it's in pretty wide use! If you're worried it might be worth testing whether your skin likes another oil cleanser - either something like plain jojoba oil or a oil cleanser like Ultra Bland or the Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser. I like Shu Uemura's oil cleansers a lot and I haven't let…
YES I spotted her Nars palette and immediately thought the same.
Well you just said a product had zero chemicals. Unless it's a bottle full o'vacuum, you're wrong.
My aunt is a doctor, so when I started to get breakouts she was pretty quick to take me through the details. We see it a lot working in cosmetics - customers using a mineral oil based foundation or mineral oil wipes to remove makeup. It happens a LOT in young men who are using foundation, because there isn't so much…
Sorry, I think I'm officially next on the post-Brad list. We're gonna read comic books together and upset all the queer-haters.
Just joining in with the fangirling here. She was a beautiful role model for all us kinky queer nerd girls and I will always love her for that.
This kind of surgery is incredibly isolating for women - how many of us actually know someone who has had it? How many of us could identify and see someone getting on with her full, brilliant life? She's sharing something that for many women will be a lifeline - that she has had this diagnosis and carried on being…
I kind of want to wish her kids good luck. My mum had years and years of awful hormonal peri-menopause when we just wanted to kill each other. I am the poor fucker whose periods always sync with someone else, so while her body was up-fuckery central I was a mess too. She was so angry All. The. Time. Even now my sister…
I really love their honesty. As a staff member I could ask about any ingredient on our big staff room Facebook group and the founders/product inventors will come and talk about it. I actually wrote some of the clickable ingredient links on the UK website and a lot of the copy for an issue of the Lush Times, so I'm a…
Obviously I meant parabens and my iMac hates me.
Well babies are pretty self maintaining, so minimal product generally. Baby oil actually isn't very nice and has some links to rosacea and adult acne, so it's not something I'd recommend. Hand gel/sanitiser is mostly preservatives so if you're skipping anything, skip that and just wash your goddamn hands. It's also…
Outing myself as a crunchy hippie here, but until I had to house-share again I used to put all my (clean) veggie peelings, onion ends etc in a ziplock bag, freeze them and when the bag was full, boil them down to make veg stock.
I sort of hope for their sake that his parents named him 'John' and still have no idea he's grown into the poster boy for entitled hippie-bro faux-Buddhist douchbaggery.
