The concept of forcing Blackness is a bizarre argument anyhow. If there is a “debate” the Blackness is already there. Being white passing is a BLACK experience. If one has to deny something then that is evidence that it exists to deny to begin with.

Out of curiosity, are you biracial? Because being biracial, to many of us, means your feet are firmly planted in both of your racial identities. She can still identify with blackness while being biracial, and I think that the elements she chose today show that it is a strong part of her identity.
