Any car over 3,500 pounds? That basically puts us all on scooters. My Focus barely comes in under that.

Seriously, STOP spamming this same message over and over again! The first thousand times was enough!
So that explains why my F350 has rear discs.
People buying $50K+ trucks and SUVs aren’t going to be phased if gas happens to shoot back up to $4/gallon. Sure, they may complain a bit more at the pump, but the costs to fuel these vehicles pales in comparison to the monthly payments, insurance, and maintenance costs.
Too bad, so sad.
Long live the diesels! I sure hope we actually get to finally see a diesel in a F150.
It’s an option in most states, but well worth checking that box on the order sheet, especially on a diesel. I love my supplemental heater; it’s basically instantaneous heat. Everyone that jumps into the truck comments on how quickly it starts putting out the heat, even in subfreezing temps.
Really? There’s only two groups of people buying trucks, and both are apparently idiots?
Apparently it’s not just IFS Chevy trucks plagued with this phenomenon; the SFA ones do it, too!
Are Cars the The New Horses?
I like the idea, too, but the part of your comment on Uber/Lyft driving taxi cabs to extinction is why I had to give you a star.
Now that we’ve strayed wildly off topic from the article suggesting that autonomous cars have indicator lights (which I think is an excellent idea), I’d like to ask those people that think autonomous fleets will replace personally owned vehicles a question:
I’ve got 4 words for this:
Can confirm. So much fun! I got to try this out in my ‘16 F350 last weekend in a wide open, snow covered parking lot. I, however, chose 2wd and locked the rear diff. The wheelbase is so long that it feels so lazy swinging the back end around and is quite easy to correct. I just wouldn’t want something to go wrong, as…
I’d say the infotainment centers can be just as distracting as phones, especially when you have to use them to control things such as seat heaters/coolers when a normal button would be so much more efficient and safe to use. Having to thumb through several screens to get from the entertainment or phone screen to go to…
The new diesels with all their emissions equipment operating equals no more soot to get everywhere. Look at the exhaust of any modern diesel truck; its spotless unless the truck has been deleted and tuned. Gassers now throw out more soot than diesels, especially direct injected gassers, such as my ST.
Oh the irony; I was thinking the same thing.
Ha! I looked for manual quad cabs before buying my ‘96, which is as rare if not rarer than the quad cab. It’s an extended cab short bed manual 4x4. Every time I take it somewhere to be worked on, no one can believe Ford put a Powerstroke in that configuration of truck in ‘96.
The 7.3s are awesome motors. I’ve got one in my ‘96 F250. I just bought a ‘16 F350 with the 6.7, but am going to hate seeing my 7.3 drive away when I get around to selling it.
I actually like the way the new F150 looks, but this would improve it significantly.
