Ha! I looked for manual quad cabs before buying my ‘96, which is as rare if not rarer than the quad cab. It’s an extended cab short bed manual 4x4. Every time I take it somewhere to be worked on, no one can believe Ford put a Powerstroke in that configuration of truck in ‘96.

The 7.3s are awesome motors. I’ve got one in my ‘96 F250. I just bought a ‘16 F350 with the 6.7, but am going to hate seeing my 7.3 drive away when I get around to selling it.

I actually like the way the new F150 looks, but this would improve it significantly.

They were on great terms with the 7.3. The falling out happened after Navistar about buried Ford’s diesel market share with the 6.0 and even worse 6.4 motor. That’s when Ford decided to bring everything in house and developed the 6.7, which is proving to be a great motor so far.

I love these cars and was shopping for one before buying the ST, but this one has too many miles and too much wear on the seats for that asking price. The leather seats on my ‘95 SHO looked in much better shape when I sold it a few years ago and it had about 160K miles on it.

I just picked up a ‘16 crew cab F350 6.7 Powerstroke diesel and love it. The best part is I’m usually the only person in it and use it to go everywhere, including the daily commute to work. The ST has sat in the garage since the day I bought the new truck because it’s so much fun to drive.

The M-Class would like to have a word with you...

Meh, they probably had the time of their life.

Probably! I just bought myself a ‘16 F350 6.7 Powerstroke and love it! I drive it everywhere I can while my ST collects dust in the garage.

Ha! I’ve seen your van driving around the Portland area a few times.

For sure! I grew up in Eugene, but moved to Portland for better job opportunities after college. Very glad I made the move and it’s a short trip to go back to visit family that are still there.

Not sure why you care what your neighbors think about the ST. If they judge you based on the car you drive, I think that’s a neighborhood I’d avoid living in.

I’m always out in my driveway working on or detailing my ST and I get compliments all the time on it from my neighbors and people walking by. Heck, I even had

Haha! The best pic is the bottom one with a Eugene Water & Electric Board truck blocking one of the chargers. What irony...

Hmm, maybe the fallout from all this VW diesel BS will be to my benefit with the new F350 6.7 PSD I have on order and scheduled to be built next month. If it scares enough people away from diesel anything for awhile, Ford may be offering some hefty rebates when the time comes to pick up my new truck.

I’d have to agree. I have a ‘13 Focus ST and a ‘96 F250 7.3 Powerstroke sitting in my garage and what have I been dailying the past couple months? A base model 2000 Ranger I inherited from my mom and subsequently spent a small fortune fixing up.

You do realize it would be you doing time instead of the moron driver in this video, right?

Fines won’t stick unless there is also a sworn police officer riding along to witness the offense, at least in Oregon. That’s how the mobile radar vans work around here; there has to be a sworn officer inside the van whenever they are taking pictures.

Exactly, unfortunately whoever did this will get away with it unless they’re dumb enough to brag about what they did or admit fault if ever found and questioned by the police. There’s no way to identify the exact vehicle, let alone the moron behind the wheel.

Fixed it for you:

Please don’t. I commute to work via bike as much as possible even though I love my cars. That way I get my workout in and don’t have to waste time at the gym. There are a lot of moron bike riders out there for sure, but I see a lot of moron drivers that lack any regard for the safety of those around them, whether they
